Luke 11:46-52 And He said, “Woe to you also, you learned in the Torah, because you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.

At this time when the Pharisees and the Sadducees were the ruling government as it were, didn’t teach Torah, but kept the people in the dark and posed burdens on the people, a lot like today and like the main line Christian organizations do today. It’s a lot like today even in our own government, where they write laws to make things harder on the people but not on the government officials.

(47)  “Woe to you, because you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.  (48)  “So you bear witness that you approve of the works of your fathers, because they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs.  (49)  “And because of this the wisdom of Elohim said, ‘I shall send them prophets and emissaries, and some of them they shall kill and persecute,’ (50) so that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world shall be required of this generation, (51) from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah who perished between the altar and the Dwelling Place. Yea, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.  (52)  “Woe to you learned in the Torah, because you took away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

The best way to keep people in the dark is to make sure they remain ignorant; as they stay ignorant the rulers can impose laws that are hard to follow.  As it says in verse 52; “because you took away the key of knowledge.

I have been accused of trying to start a new religion and accused of promoting Judaism and when I try to use Scripture to tell my side I have been told that I am wrong and “Jesus nailed all that to the cross.”

What people don't understand that, what has been "nailed to the cross" is our past SINS, not YHVH's Torah/Divine Instructions in Righteousness! He nailed our certificate of debt for breaking the Law to the cross - not His Torah.

Torah observance is not a bad thing, we do our best each year to observe the celebrations commanded by YHVH.

Understand, covenant and Torah are two different things.

Yahshua was the FINAL SIN OFFERING He came to abolish the man-made, "rabbinical" instructions that had people bound up and confused about what Yahweh had actually said. He did not come to abolish Yahweh's original Divine Instructions. (Torah - 1 John 3:2-6 Beloved ones, now we are children of Elohim. And it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.  (3)  And everyone having this expectation in Him cleanses himself, as He is clean.  (4)  Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.  (5)  And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.  (6)  Everyone staying in Him does not sin. Everyone sinning has neither seen Him nor known Him.”

Yahweh gave us a new Covenant through Yahshua, not a new Torah! Torah has been around before creation, way before you and me. Cain and Abel knew to present animal sacrifices (Genesis 4); Noah knew the difference between "clean and unclean" animals (Gen. 7:1-3). EVERYONE up until that time who believed in the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was TORAH OBSERVANT....

I have heard you say Victoria that Yahshua is the Living Torah and that is true, who never, ever negated His Father's original teaching and instruction.

Many believe that "the law" was abolished. How is that possible when sin is transgression of "the law"? When and by whom was it abolished? Certainly not by Yahshua! He said He came NOT to abolish but to confirm (Hebrew: M’ALEY which means "establish/confirm)". Why would Yahshua’s role as FINAL SIN OFFERING in any way negate Torah - YAHWEH's original teaching and instruction? Did He ever say, "I came to abolish Torah and render Yahwey’s original teachings void"? Yahshua is our "New Covenant" and "Sin Offering". Yahweh gave us a New Covenant, not a new Torah! Did He even mention Torah at all as He spoke about giving us a New Covenant (Jer.31:30-33/Heb.8:8-12)? You won't find anything in Scripture to show that Torah was ever abolished.

Yahshua said: Mat 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete.

Mat 5:18  “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.

If "ALL" hasn't happened yet, and heaven and earth have not passed away, then that must mean that His Torah is still valid....

Jeremiah 31:30-33 “But each one shall die for his own crookedness – whoever eats sour grapes, his teeth shall be blunted.  (31)  “See, the days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’el and with the house of Yehudah1, Footnote: 1See Heb. 8:8-12, Heb. 10:16-17.  (32) not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares YHVH.  (33)  “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’el after those days, declares YHVH: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.

Hebrews 8:8-12  For finding fault with them, He says, “See, the days are coming,” says YHVH, “when I shall conclude with the house of Yisra’el and with the house of Yehudah a renewed covenant,  (9)  not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Mitsrayim, because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them,” says YHVH.  (10)  “Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisra’el after those days, says YHVH, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.  (11)  “And they shall by no means teach each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know YHVH,’ because they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.  (12)  “Because I shall forgive their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessness’s I shall no longer remember.”

So, Victoria I hope that answers some of the questions you had on the subject. Any time you want to ask a question I am here, most of the time. We aren’t different we believe in the same things.
