A Study Guide to the Book of Revelation

By

Dr. James H. Robertson

How would you approach the book of Revelation? The best way I can think of is to tackle the Scriptures as a whole. The TaNaK is the background for the Messianic Writings and for the book of Revelation. In this guide I will incorporate what others have written about the book and my own thoughts.

TaNaK is an acronym that stands for

Torah (Books of Moses)

N'vi-im (Prophets)

K'tuvim (Writings)

Every person has the ability to read and understand the book of Revelation. If you lack discipline then it will be difficult to grasp that which Hashem intended for us to understand in His revelation to us. To truly study the book of Revelation you will need: an understanding of the Scriptures.

You must go into the book of Revelation with an open mind. Remember, Yahanan was writing of things he had never seen before. Don’t prejudge the book of Revelation.

The book of Revelation is a book of prophecy that will be brought to bear in the future. Some believe that this book has already been fulfilled. You as the reader will have to determine that for yourselves.

So my advice to you is to study the book of Revelation and the Scriptures as a whole and then find out for yourselves the wonder and the mystery of the Book of Revelation.

Understand this is a guide to the book and not my own interpretation; I will leave that to the “Theologians.”

Matthew 24:21

(21)  “For then there shall be great distress,1 such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. Footnote:1Or great pressure, or great affliction.

The book of Revelation is a book about Hashem, when He judges the world and when He returns to reign and when He destroys the adversary and his followers.

This book was probably written between 78 and 94 C.E. Most scholars believe that it was written in the latter date. It is my belief that Yahanan the apostle wrote this book, some theologians believe that Yahanan the Presbyter wrote this book according to the African bishop named Dionysius in the third century C.E.

Domitian was the emperor at the time, about 81 to 96 C.E. and insisted on being worshiped as a god. The assemblies in the region at the time were coming under great persecution because they held Yah’shua as Elohim and refused to worship the emperor. This is the reason for Yah’shua to have Yahanan write the letters to the seven assemblies in Asia Minor.

Yahanan is writing to encourage the faithful to remain so during their time of persecution and refusing to worship the emperor.

This book is a final showdown between Hashem and SIN. Sin being the workers of Torah-less ness, the false prophet and the Adversary.

The book of Revelation comes basically in three parts, that which is, that which was and that which is to come. Chapters 6-18 describe the tribulations that are to come, chapters 1-5, which are. The Scriptures are also prophecies from the TaNaK. Chapters 18-22 are the return of Yah’shua and the thousand year reign and the destruction of the old and the bringing in of the new heaven and earth.

Yahanan was told to write the things that he has seen and the things which are and after these.

Revelation 1:19

(19)  “Write therefore what you have seen, both what is now and what shall take place after these:

The book of Revelation is a book of prophecy and gives us the beginning and the end of the Gentile age. It will end by the fulfillment of 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17;

1 Thessalonians 4:14-17

(14)  For if we believe that Yah’shua died and rose again, so also Elohim shall bring with Him those who sleep1 in Yah’shua. Footnote: 1An euphemism for death, a typical Hebrew word for it.

(15)  For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep.

(16)  Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Moshiach shall rise first.

(17)  Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master.

Two important Scriptures that we must understand to interpret the book of Revelation is 1 Kefa 1:12 and 2 Kefa1:20

1 Peter 1:12

(12)  to whom it was revealed that they were serving, not themselves, but you, in these matters which now have been announced to you through those who brought the Good News to you by the Set-apart Spirit sent from heaven – into which messengers long to look into.

2 Peter 1:20

(20)  knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture came to be of one’s own interpretation,

In chapter one Yahanan is commanded to write what Yah’shua tells him. He has him write to the seven assemblies, verse eleven:

Revelation 1:11

(11)  saying, “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the First and the Last,” and, “Write in a book what you see and send it to the seven assemblies of Asia – to Ephesos, and to Smurna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodikeia.”

Revelation 1:1-11

(1)  Revelation of Yah’shua HaMoshiach, which Elohim gave Him to show His servants what has to take place with speed. And He signified it by sending His messenger to His servant Yahanan,

(2)  who bore witness to the Word of Elohim, and the witness of Yah’shua HaMoshiach – to all he saw.

(3)  Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and guard what is written in it, for the time is near.

(4)  Yahanan, to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Favour to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is coming, and from the seven Spirits that are before His throne,

(5)  and from Yah’shua HaMoshiach, the trustworthy witness, the first-born from the dead, and the ruler of the sovereigns of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

(6)  and has made us sovereigns and priests to His Elohim and Father, to Him be esteem and rule forever and ever. Amĕn.

(7)  See, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Yes, Amĕn.

(8)  “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, Beginning and End,” says Hashem “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

(9)  I, Yahanan, both your brother and co-sharer in pressure, and in the reign and endurance of Yah’shua HaMoshiach, came to be on the island that is called Patmos for the Word of Elohim and for the witness of Yah’shua HaMoshiach.

(10)  I came to be in the Spirit on the Day of Hashem, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,

In verse eight Yah’shua calls Himself and gives Himself the title, “ALMIGHTY.” Yah’shua is the beginning and the ending!

Revelation 1:12-20

(12)  And I turned to see the voice which spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lamp stands,

(13)  and in the midst of the seven lamp stands One like the Son of Aḏam, dressed in a robe down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.

(14)  And His head and hair were white as white wool, as snow, and His eyes as a flame of fire,

(15)  and His feet like burnished brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters.

(16)  And in His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword,1 and His face was as the sun shining in its strength. Footnote: 1See 2:16, Isa.49:2, Heb. 4:12.

(17)  And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead, and He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid, I am the First and the Last,

(18)  and the living One. And I became dead, and see, I am living forever and ever. Amĕn. And I possess the keys of the grave and of death.

(19)  “Write therefore what you have seen, both what is now and what shall take place after these:

(20)  “The secret of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lamp stands: The seven stars are messengers of the seven assemblies, and the seven lamp stands which you saw are seven assemblies.

The golden lamp stands are the seven assemblies that Yah’shua cared much for and had Yahanan write the letters to. The interesting part of this is they were standing apart and not one branching in to seven. The “two-edged” sword is the Word of Hashem, the TORAH! In verses fourteen and fifteen is the description of Yah’shua.

Matthew 13:11

(11)  And He answering, said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the secrets of the reign of the heavens, but to them it has not been given.

In chapters two and three, these are the things which are to the seven assemblies. Chapter two is to the assemblies of Ephesos, Smurna, Pergamos and Thyatira. Chapter 3 to the assemblies of Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodikeia.

The first one is to the loveless assembly, “Ephesos”, then to the persecuted assembly, “Smurna”, the compromising assembly “Pergamos”,  then to the corrupt assembly, “Thyatira.” In chapter three to the dead assembly, “Sardis”, then to the faithful assembly at “Philadelphia” and then to the lukewarm assembly at “Laodikeia.”

Revelation 2:1

(1)  “To the messenger of the assembly of Ephesos write, ‘He who is holding the seven stars in His right hand, who is walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands, says this:

Yah’shua among the seven assemblies or lampstands

Revelation 2:2-29

(2)  “I know your works, and your labour, and your endurance, and that you are not able to bear evil ones, and have tried those who say they are emissaries and are not, and have found them false;

(3)  and you have been bearing up and have endurance, and have laboured for My Name’s sake and have not become weary.

(4)  “But I hold this against you, that you have left your first love.

(5)  “So remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works, or else I shall come to you speedily and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

(6)  “Yet this you have, that you hate the works of the Nikolaites, which I also hate.

(7)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes1 I shall give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of Elohim.” 2 Footnote: 1This word (and its noun) is used 17 times in the Book of Revelation. Remember: the name Yisra’ĕl means to overcome with Ěl.

(8)  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Smurna write, ‘This says the First and the Last, who became dead, and came to life:

(9)  “I know your works, and pressure, and poverty – yet you are rich – and the blasphemy of those who say they are Yehuḏim and are not, but are a congregation of Satan.

(10)  “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. See, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, in order to try you, and you shall have pressure ten days. Be trustworthy until death, and I shall give you the crown of life.

(11)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes shall by no means be harmed by the second death.”

(12)  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Pergamos write, ‘He who has the sharp two-edged sword, says this:

(13)  “I know your works, and where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is. And you hold fast to My Name, and did not deny the belief in Me, even in the days in which Antipas was My trustworthy witness, who was killed near you, where Satan dwells.

(14)  “But I hold a few matters against you, because you have there those who adhere to the teaching of Bilʽam, who taught Balaq to put a stumbling-block before the children of Yisra’ĕl, to eat food offered to idols, and to commit whoring.

(15)  “So you also have those who adhere to the teaching of the Nikolaites, which teaching I hate.

(16)  “Repent, or else I shall come to you speedily and fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

(17)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I shall give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I shall give him a white stone, and on the stone a renewed Name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’

(18)  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Thyatira write, ‘This says the Son of Elohim, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like burnished brass:

(19)  “I know your works, and love, and service, and belief, and your endurance. And as for your works, the last are more than the first.

(20)  “But I hold against you that you allow that woman Izeḇel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and lead My servants astray to commit whoring and to eat food offered to idols.

(21)  “And I gave her time to repent of her whoring, and she did not repent.

(22)  “See, I am throwing her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great affliction, unless they repent of their works.

(23)  “And I shall slay her children with death. And all the assemblies shall know that I am the One searching the kidneys and hearts. And I shall give to each one of you according to your works.

(24)  “And to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not possess this teaching, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they call them, I am not putting on you another burden.

(25)  “But hold fast what you have until I come.

(26)  “And he who overcomes, and guards My works until the end, to him I shall give authority over the nations,

(27)  and he shall shepherd them with a rod of iron, as the potter’s vessels shall be broken to pieces,1 as I also have received from My Father. Footnote: 1Ps. 2:9.

(28)  “And I shall give him the morning star.

(29)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’

In verse six the Nikolaites that Yah’shua refers to appears to be the Romans and their pagan beliefs.

In verse ten, those who overcome will be given a crown of life.

In verse thirteen “Hasatan’s seat is” “Hasatan” ruled from Pergamos or the official center of where the worship takes place of the emperor.

In verse fourteen the doctrine of Balaam:

Numbers 25:1-2

(1)  And Yisra’ĕl dwelt in Shittim, and the people began to whore with the daughters of Mo’aḇ,

(2)  and they invited the people to the slaughterings of their mighty ones, and the people ate and bowed down to their mighty ones.

Numbers 31:16

(16)  “Look, they are the ones who caused the children of Yisra’ĕl, through the word of Bilʽam, to trespass against Hashem in the matter of Peʽor, and there was a plague among the congregation of Hashem.”

In verse twenty the “Izeḇel” to promote tolerance to the pagan practices.

Acts 15:20

(20)  but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood.1 Footnote: 1See v.29.

Acts 15:29

(29)  that you abstain from what is offered to idols, and blood, and what is strangled, and whoring.1 If you keep yourselves from these, you shall do well. Be strong! Footnote: 1See v. 20.

Revelation 3:1-22

(1)  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write, ‘He who has the seven Spirits of Elohim and the seven stars, says this, “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

(2)  “Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete before Elohim.

(3)  “Remember, then, how you have received, and heard. And watch and repent. If, then, you do not wake up, I shall come upon you as a thief, and you shall not know at all what hour I come upon you.

(4)  “Nevertheless, you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments. And they shall walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.

(5)  “He who overcomes shall be dressed in white robes, and I shall by no means blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I shall confess his name before My Father and before His messengers.

(6)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’

(7)  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write, ‘He who is set-apart, He who is true, He who has the key of Dawiḏ, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens, says this:

(8)  “I know your works – see, I have set before you an open door, and no one is able to shut it – that you have little power, yet have guarded My Word, and have not denied My Name.

(9)  “See, I am giving up those of the congregation of Satan, who say they are Yehuḏim and are not, but lie. See, I am making them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

(10)  “Because you have guarded My Word of endurance, I also shall guard you from the hour of trial which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

(11)  “See, I am coming speedily! Hold what you have that no one take your crown.

(12)  “He who overcomes, I shall make him a supporting post in the Dwelling Place of My Elohim, and he shall by no means go out. And I shall write on him the Name of My Elohim and the name of the city of My Elohim, the renewed Yerushalayim, which comes down out of the heaven from My Elohim, and My renewed Name.

(13)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’

(14)  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Laodikeia write, ‘The Amĕn, the Trustworthy and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of Elohim,1 says this: Footnote: 1Col. 1:15, Heb. 1:6.

(15)  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot.

(16)  “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.

(17)  “Because you say, ‘Rich I am, and I am made rich, and need none at all,’ and do not know that you are wretched, and pitiable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

(18)  “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire,1 so that you become rich; and white garments, so that you become dressed, so that the shame of your nakedness might not be shown; and anoint your eyes with ointment, so that you see. Footnote: 1Ps. 19:10, Ps. 119:72 & 127, Proverbs. 30:5.

(19)  “As many as I love, I reprove and discipline. So be ardent and repent.

(20)  “See, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I shall come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

(21)  “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

(22)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’ ”

 (15)  who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation.1 Footnote: 1Heb. 1:6, Rev. 3:14. Colossians 1:15

The overwhelming theme of this chapter is “OVERCOMING” in that those who remain faithful and overcome shall be victorious.

In verse nine the “synagogue of Hasatan” refers to those who claim to be Jews who refuse to believe and are hostile to the believers.

With out a doubt the letter to the assembly in Laodikeia has the harshest language of all the assemblies. The assembly at Laodikeia was the rich assembly and they are poor, they have fine garments and are naked, they are lukewarm, really compromising and they will be thrown out.

Of course in chapter 3:

Revelation 3:20-21

(20)  “See, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I shall come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

(21)  “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Luke 1:32-33

(32)  “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High. And Hashem Elohim shall give Him the throne of His father Dawiḏ.

(33)  “And He shall reign over the house of Yaʽaqoḇ forever, and there shall be no end to His reign.”1 Footnote: 1Verses 32 and 33 confirm the prophecies Ps. 2, Ps. 89:14-34, Isa. 9:7, Isa. 16:5, Jer. 23:3-6, Jer. 30:9, Ezek. 37:24, Dan. 2:44, Dan. 7:18-27, Mic. 5:2-4, Acts 1:6-7, Rev. 11:15.

Acts 2:30

(30)  “Being a prophet, then, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him: of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Moshiach to sit on his throne,

Chapter four gives us the introduction of the throne of heaven.

Revelation 22:3

(3)  And no longer shall there be any curse, and the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

Revelation 4:1-2

(1)  After this I looked and saw a door having been opened in the heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here and I shall show you what has to take place after this.”

(2)  And immediately I came to be in the Spirit and saw a throne set in the heaven, and One sat on the throne.

Then it introduces the twenty-four elders.

Revelation 4:3-5

(3)  And He who sat there was like a jasper and a ruby stone in appearance. And there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.

(4)  And around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white robes. And they had crowns of gold on their heads.

(5)  And out of the throne came lightnings, and thunders, and voices. And seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim.

Some theologians believe this to be the twelve tribes of Yisrael and the twelve emissaries. Some believe that it represents the whole of the believers in heaven. Some believe that it is just a reception of further revelations. Some believe that it is a symbol of the raptured assembly, (sic), just prior to the great tribulations. The seven spirits could be as described in the book of Isaiah:

Isaiah 11:2

(2)  The Spirit of Hashem shall rest upon Him – the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Hashem,

Revelation 4:6-11

(6)  And before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and in back.

(7)  And the first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature like a calf, and the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

(8)  And the four living creatures, each having six wings, were covered with eyes around and within. And they do not cease, day or night, saying, “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart, Hashem Ěl Shaddai, who was, and who is, and who is coming!”

(9)  And when the living creatures give esteem and respect and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

(10)  the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and bow before Him who lives forever and ever, and they cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

(11)  “You are worthy, O Hashem, to receive esteem and respect and power, for You have created all, and because of Your desire they are, and were created.”

The sea of glass in verse six I believe is the Word of Hashem. Acknowledge that Hashem alone is worthy of praise and worship.

Chapter five introduces us to the book of seven seals.

Revelation 5:1-4

(1)  And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, having been sealed with seven seals.

(2)  And I saw a strong messenger proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loosen its seals?”

(3)  And no one in the heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

(4)  And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.

No One is found who is worthy to open the book until a voice announces the triumphant Lion of the tribe of Yehuḏah, the Root of Dawid. Each is a TaNaK designation of the Moshiach.

Revelation 5:5

(5)  And one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Yehuḏah,1 the Root of Dawiḏ,2 overcame to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals.” Footnotes: 1Heb. 7:14 2Isa. 11:1 & 10.

2 Timothy 4:8

(8)  For the rest, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Master, the righteous Judge, shall give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all those loving His appearing.

Daniel 7:13-14

(13)  “I was looking in the night visions and saw One like the Son of Enosh1, coming with the clouds of the heavens! And He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Footnote: 1Son of Enosh - This Aramaic term is similar to the Heḇrew ‘Ben Aḏam,’ but not the exact equivalent of it. However, this Aramaic term indicates the same One!

(14)  “And to Him was given rulership and preciousness and a reign, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His rule is an everlasting rule which shall not pass away, and His reign that which shall not be destroyed.

And then in verse seven:

Revelation 5:7

(7)  And He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him sitting on the throne.

Revelation 5:8-10

(8)  And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the set-apart ones.

(9)  And they sang a renewed song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and have redeemed us to Elohim by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

(10)  and made us sovereigns and priests to our Elohim, and we shall reign upon the earth.”1 Footnote: 1Dan. 7:18-27.

And then the messengers exalt the Lamb:

Revelation 5:11-12

(11)  And I looked, and I heard the voice of many messengers around the throne, and the living creatures, and the elders. And the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,

(12)  saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb having been slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and respect and esteem and blessing!”

Revelation 5:13-14

(13)  And every creature which is in the heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying, “To Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb, be the blessing and the respect and the esteem and the might, forever and ever!”

(14)  And the four living creatures said, “Amĕn!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and bowed before Him who lives forever and ever.

Starting from chapter six starts the great tribulation.

The first seal:

Revelation 6:1-2

(1)  And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, like a sound of thunder, “Come and see.”

(2)  And I looked and saw a white horse , and he who sat on it holding a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went out overcoming and to overcome.

 Zechariah 6:3

(3)  and with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot strong speckled horses.

Isaiah 66:19

(19)  “And I shall set a sign among them, and shall send some of those who escape to the nations – Tarshish and Pul and Luḏ, who draw the bow, and Tuḇal and Yawan, the coastlands afar off who have not heard My report nor seen My esteem. And they shall declare My esteem among the gentiles.

The second seal, peace is taken from the earth:

Revelation 6:3-4

(3)  And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”

(4)  And another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was given to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another. And a great sword was given to him.

The third seal is famine:

Revelation 6:5-6

(5)  And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” And I looked and saw a black horse, and he who sat on it holding a pair of scales in his hand.

(6)  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wage, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wage. And do not harm the oil and the wine.”

2 Chronicles 20:23

(23)  Then the children of Ammon and Mo’aḇ stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Sĕʽir to destroy and annihilate them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Sĕʽir, they helped to destroy one another.

Zechariah 6:2

(2)  With the first chariot were red horses, and with the second chariot black horses,

The fourth seal is death:

Revelation 6:7-8

(7)  And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.”

(8)  And I looked and saw a pale horse. And he who sat on it had the name Death, and the grave followed with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

Ezekiel 14:21

(21)  For thus said the Master Hashem, “How much more it shall be when I send My four evil judgments on Yerushalayim: the sword and scarcity of food and evil beasts and pestilence, to cut off man and beast from it?

The fifth seal is the martyred remnant:

Revelation 6:9-11

(9)  And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the beings of those having been slain for the Word of Elohim and for the witness which they held,

(10)  and they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Master, set-apart and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

(11)  And there was given to each one a white robe, and they were told that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brothers, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

In verse nine is the believers who are killed during the great tribulation.

The sixth seal is the beginning of anarchy:

Revelation 6:12-17

(12)  And I looked when He opened the sixth seal and saw a great earthquake came to be. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.

(13)  And the stars of the heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its unripe figs, being shaken by a strong wind.

(14)  And heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

(15)  And the sovereigns of the earth, and the great ones, and the rich ones, and the commanders, and the mighty, and every slave and every free one, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,

(16)  and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,

(17)  because the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

The first of the seals are to be the beginning of the seven years of tribulation, suffering and judgment leading up to Yah’shua’ second coming.

Daniel 9:27

(27)  “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste1.” Footnote: 1Mt. 24:15.

Jeremiah 30:7

(7)  ‘Oh! For great is that day, there is none like it. And it is the time of Yaʽaqoḇ’s distress, but he shall be saved out of it.

Daniel 12:1

(1)  “Now at that time Miḵa’ĕl shall stand up, the great head who is standing over the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation, until that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book,

The colors of the horses are indicated by (1.) White as conquest (2.) Red as war (3.) Black as famine (4.) Pale as death. Usually after conquest is war followed by famine and then death.

Now the seventh seal won’t be broken until chapter eight.

Chapter seven deals with the 144,000, 12,000 each from the twelve tribes of Yisrael! Then comes the vision of the Gentiles who are to be saved during Yaʽaqoḇ’s distress.

Revelation 7:13-14

(13)  And one of the elders responded, saying to me, “Who are these dressed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

(14)  And I said to him, “Master, you know.” And he said to me, “These are those coming out of the great distress, having washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

The sealing of the believers during the tribulation is to protect them from the judgments here. The land and the sea will be harmed by the sealed judgments and this indicates that those sealed with Hashems’ mark will not be harmed, as will be evident in chapter eight.

Revelation 7:1-3

(1)  And after this I saw four messengers standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

(2)  And I saw another messenger coming up from the rising of the sun, holding the seal of the living Elohim. And he cried with a loud voice to the four messengers to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,

(3)  saying, “Do not harm the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees until we have sealed the servants of our Elohim upon their foreheads.”

People without the seal will be harmed by the great judgments. This is the teaching of Scriptures as, Hashems’ people go through the tribulations caused by the world, the flesh and the devil, but we are spared Hashems’ wrath because of Yah’shua.

The great tribulation is the period of unexampled trouble. It is a time of divine judgment on a Torah less world that has rejected Yah’shua. This was also predicted in the TaNaK.

Psalms 2:5

(5)  Then He speaks to them in His wrath, And troubles them in His rage, saying,

It’s the time of Yaʽaqoḇ’s distress:

Jeremiah 30:7

(7)  ‘Oh! For great is that day, there is none like it. And it is the time of Yaʽaqoḇ’s distress, but he shall be saved out of it.

Its duration is three and one half years:

Daniel 9:24-27

(24)  “Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and for your set-apart city, to put an end to the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover crookedness, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the Most Set-apart.

(25)  “Know, then, and understand: from the going forth of the command to restore and build Yerushalayim until Moshiach the Prince is seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again, with streets and a trench, but in times of affliction.

(26)  “And after the sixty-two weeks Moshiach shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the set-apart place. And the end of it is with a flood. And wastes are decreed, and fighting until the end.

The tribulations have the cruel reign of the beast out of the sea (Revelation 13:1

(1)  And I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads names of blasphemy.), who at the beginning of the reign will break his covenant with the Jews, after they have reestablished the temple worship:

Daniel 9:27

(27)  “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste1.”

And will show him-self in the temple demanding to be worshiped as Hashem.

2 Thessalonians 2:4

(4)  who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called Elohim or that is worshipped, so that he sits as Elohim in the Dwelling Place of Elohim, showing himself that he is Elohim.

The great tribulation will also be a period of salvation.

Chapter eight starts very quietly in the first verse when the seventh seal is broken:

Revelation 8:1

(1)  And when He opened the seventh seal, there came to be silence in the heaven for about half an hour.

The seventh seal is the seven trumpets of judgment. The trumpet judgments are partial judgments and will announce the seven bowls of judgment, of which are more severe!

It is my belief that the silence in heaven for about a half hour is that they are praying for those who are about to be destroyed and those who will live through the great tribulation from that moment until the end. The seven bowls of judgment is a horror of the judgment against sin!

The seven trumpets and the introduction of Yah’shua as high priest:

Revelation 8:2-6

(2)  And I saw the seven messengers who stand before Elohim, and to them were given seven trumpets.

(3)  And another messenger came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer, and much incense was given to him, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the set-apart ones upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

(4)  And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the set-apart ones, went up before Elohim from the hand of the messenger.

(5)  And the messenger took the censer, and filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

(6)  And the seven messengers who held the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

The first, second and third trumpets:

Revelation 8:7-13

(7)  And the first messenger sounded, and there came to be hail and fire mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

(8)  And the second messenger sounded, and what looked like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood,

(9)  and a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

(10)  And the third messenger sounded, and a great star fell from the heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the fountains of water,

(11)  and the name of the star is called Wormwood. And a third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.

(12)  And the fourth messenger sounded, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. And a third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.

(13)  And I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, crying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to those dwelling upon the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three messengers who are about to sound!”

Jeremiah 51:25

(25)  “See, I am against you, O destroying mountain, who destroys all the earth,” declares Hashem. “And I shall stretch out My hand against you. And I shall roll you down from the rocks, and make you a burnt mountain.

In chapter eight verse three, prayers of all the set-apart ones indicates that the intercessory prayers of the born again believers are extremely important in the destruction of evil and the establishment of righteousness on the earth. The prayers of the set-apart ones are believers during the great tribulation are joined by the intercession of all the set-apart ones, or believers in heaven.

In verse seven 1/3rd of earths vegetation is destroyed by fire and hail. 1/3rd of the seas and rivers are polluted. The heavens, sun, moon and stars are darkened for a third part of the day and night. The judgment is limited to one third to warn and try to bring non-believers into repentance. Verse eleven, wormwood is a bitter plant representing Hashem’s’ judgment and human sorrow!

Deuteronomy 29:18

(18)  lest there should be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe, whose heart turns away today from Hashem our Elohim, to go and serve the mighty ones of these nations, lest there should be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood.

Jeremiah 9:15

(15)  Therefore thus said Hashem of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, “See, I am making this people eat wormwood, and I shall make them drink poisoned water.

Amos 5:7

(7)  “O you who are turning right-ruling to wormwood, and have cast down righteousness to the earth!”

In Verse 13 the eagles’ three fold cry of woe, is to warn that the next three trumpets of judgment will be much more intense than those preceding judgments. The fifth and sixth judgments will involve the horrible demonic forces.

Joel 2:31

(31)  the sun is turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Hashem.

Isaiah 13:10

(10)  For the stars of the heavens and their constellations do not give off their light. The sun shall be dark at its rising, and the moon not send out its light.

In Chapter nine verse one, the star falling from the sky maybe an messenger who is caring out Hashem’s judgment, because in verse two it says “he”, “and he opened the bottomless pit.”

2 Peter 2:4

(4)  For if Elohim did not spare the messengers who sinned, but sent them to Tartaros, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be kept for judgment,

Jude 1:6

(6)  And the messengers who did not keep their own principality, but left their own dwelling, He has kept in everlasting shackles under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

In chapter nine the fifth trumpet starts the first woe:

Revelation 9:1-12

(1)  And the fifth messenger sounded, and I saw a star from the heaven which had fallen to the earth. And the key to the pit of the deep was given to it.

(2)  And he opened the pit of the deep, and smoke went up out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun was darkened, also the air, because of the smoke of the pit.

(3)  And out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth, and authority was given to them as the scorpions of the earth possess authority.

(4)  And it was said to them that they shall not harm the grass of the earth, or any green matter, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of Elohim upon their foreheads.

(5)  And it was given to them that they should not kill them, but to torture them for five months. And their torture was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a man.

(6)  And in those days men shall seek death and shall not find it. And they shall long to die, but death shall flee from them.

(7)  And the locusts looked like horses prepared for battle, and on their heads were crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.

(8)  And they had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.

(9)  And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots of many horses running into battle.

(10)  And they have tails like scorpions, and stings. And in their tails is their authority to harm men five months.

(11)  And they have over them a sovereign, the messenger of the pit of the deep, whose name in Heḇrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apolluon.

(12)  The first woe is past. See, two woes are still coming after this.

G3

Ἀβαδδών

Abaddōn

ab-ad-dohn'

Of Hebrew origin [H11]; a destroyer: - Abaddon.

G623

Ἀπολλύων

Apolluōn

ap-ol-loo'-ohn

Active participle of G622; a destroyer (that is, Hasatan): - Apollyon.

In verse eleven, the sovereign that is spoken of in Hebrew is ‘Avadu and in Aramaic is Sh’ra. According to the Hebraic-Roots version of the Messianic Writings AVAD is Hebrew meaning “to bind or prohibit” and the Aramaic word SH’RA means to “loose or permit.” Both words can be used idiomatically to refer to destruction. Hebrew is the language of Yisra’el and Aramaic is the language of Babylon. The H-R version believes that it is perceived differently by both groups.

***The judgments usually take place in a short period of time, however, this trumpet is introduced as torture for five months. The locust described in this chapter is probably the demons released from Tartaros . The Scriptures has described demons and messengers taking on appearances other than human. The pain of being stung by them is so intense people will try to commit suicide and will not find death. They must suffer! The locust will not harm the believers, because of the mark of Hashem in their foreheads.***

Revelation 7:3

(3)  saying, “Do not harm the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees until we have sealed the servants of our Elohim upon their foreheads.”1 Footnote: 1See 9:4, 14:1, 22:4.

Those with the mark of Hashem, the born again believers, will not be harmed and those without the mark of Hashem will be tormented!

The sixth trumpet is the second woe:

Revelation 9:13-21

(13)  And the sixth messenger sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before Elohim,

(14)  saying to the sixth messenger who had the trumpet, “Release the four messengers, those having been bound at the great river Euphrates.”

(15)  And the four messengers, those having been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.

(16)  And the number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million, and I heard the number of them.

(17)  And this is how I saw the horses in the vision and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, and hyacinth blue, and sulphur yellow. And the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, and smoke, and sulphur.

(18)  A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the sulphur which came out of their mouths.

(19)  For the authority of the horses is in their mouth and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents, having heads. And with them they do harm.

(20)  And the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship the demons, and idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood, which are neither able to see, nor to hear, nor to walk.

(21)  And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their drug sorceries, nor of their whoring, nor of their thefts.

Romans 1:18

(18)  For the wrath of Elohim is revealed from heaven against all wickedness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

This is when people well oppose Hashem and seek Hasatan and they will become pray of the demonic.

In verse fourteen it says to “loose the four messengers” and this could mean they are fallen messengers or demonic, because of the phrase “loose” and “bound”, as Hashem’s messengers are not bound.

200,000,000 two hundred million, now that’s a big army.

Some theologians believe that is a demon army, others believe it is an army of men. “In verse three these locust represent an increased number of demons and demonic activity released on the earth toward the end of the tribulation or actually the start of the end of the earths reign. Their assault is towards the wicked on the earth for five months and they are not permitted to torment born again believers. In verse six, the pain that the demonic locust will be so bad that the people will want to die and try to find death, but they will not be able to find it. There will be divine retribution to evil.”

Some say they are demonic spirits from the abyss under the leadership of the four bound messengers. Some say that is the army of men gathered to fight at Armageddon.

At the present, November 2003, the world population is just over six billion, 1/3rd of that would be two billion dead. What about the other 4 billion?

The army coming from the east, as the river Euphrates is east of Yisra’el.

Daniel 11:44

(44)  “Then reports from the east and the north shall disturb him, and he shall go out with great wrath to destroy and put many under the ban,

Verse 18 may be what Yahanan saw as a reminder of Hashem’s judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Jude 1:7

(7)  Even as Seḏom and Amorah and the cities around them in a similar way to these, having given themselves over to whoring and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, undergoing judicial punishment of everlasting fire.

In verse twenty they still didn’t repent. It is that even Hashem’s judgment does not bring people to repentance. This demonstrates how depraved the human race is and how they love sinful pleasure. In the last days they will turn to worship of demons and into spiritualism, the occult and magic.

Deuteronomy 32:17

(17)  “They slaughtered to demons – not Eloah – Mighty ones they did not know, New ones who came lately, Which your fathers did not fear.

1 Corinthians 10:20

(20)  No, but what the gentiles offer they offer to demons1 and not to Elohim, and I do not wish you to become sharers with demons. Footnote: 1Lev. 17:7

They will get involved with drugs, occult worship and witchcraft, sexual immorality, homosexuality, lust and pornography.

Galatians 5:20-21

(20)  idolatry, drug sorcery, hatred, quarrels, jealousies, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,

(21)  envy, murders, drunkenness, wild parties, and the like – of which I forewarn you, even as I also said before, that those who practise such as these shall not inherit the reign of Elohim.1 Footnote: 11 Corinthians. 6:10.

Romans 1:24-32

(24)  Therefore Elohim gave them up to uncleanness in the lust of their hearts, to disrespect their bodies among themselves,

(25)  who changed the truth of Elohim into the falsehood, and worshipped and served what was created rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amĕn.

(26)  Because of this Elohim gave them over to degrading passions. For even their women exchanged natural relations for what is against nature,

(27)  and likewise, the men also, having left natural relations with woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing indecency, and receiving back the reward which was due for their straying.

(28)  And even as they did not think it worth- while to possess the knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do what is improper,

(29)  having been filled with all unrighteousness, whoring, wickedness, greed, evil; filled with envy, murder, fighting, deceit, evil habits; whisperers,

(30)  slanderers, haters of Elohim, insolent, proud, boasters, devisers of evils, disobedient to parents,

(31)  without discernment, covenant breakers, unloving, unforgiving, ruthless;

(32)  who, though they know the righteousness of Elohim, that those who practise such deserve death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practise them.

Chapter ten starts off with the mighty messenger and the “little book” and is an interlude between the sixth and the seventh trumpet.

Revelation 10:1-7

(1)  And I saw another strong messenger coming down from the heaven, robed in a cloud, and a rainbow on his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like columns of fire,

(2)  and having in his hand a little book opened. And he placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

(3)  and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. And when he cried out, seven thunders spoke their sounds.

(4)  And when the seven thunders spoke their sounds, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from the heaven saying to me, “Seal up what the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them.”

(5)  And the messenger whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the heaven,

(6)  and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there shall be no further delay,

(7)  but in the days of the sounding of the seventh messenger, when he is about to sound, the secret of Elohim shall also be ended, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

Some theologians believe that the mighty messenger mentioned here in verse one is the messenger Gabriel. This author will not attempt to name the messenger, because the messengers name was not mentioned. However, you can compare this messenger with Gabriel, who also stands in the very presents of Hashem in Luke 1:19.

Luke 1:19

(19)  And the messenger answering, said to him, “I am Gaḇri’ĕl, who stands in the presence of Elohim, and was sent to speak to you and announce to you this good news.

In verses five and six you can compare to Daniel chapter twelve verse seven:

Daniel 12:7

(7)  And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, and he held up his right hand and his left hand to the heavens, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it would be for a time, times, and half a time. And when they have ended scattering the power of the set-apart people, then all these shall be completed.

As Yahanan was instructed not to write down what the seven thunders uttered, what they uttered is a mystery to us as we live here on earth.

And then the “little book” is eaten.

Revelation 10:8-11

(8)  And the voice which I heard out of the heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is opened in the hand of the messenger standing on the sea and on the earth.”

(9)  And I went to the messenger and said to him, “Give me the little book.” And he said to me, “Take and eat it,1 and it shall make your stomach bitter, but it shall be as sweet as honey in your mouth.” Footnote: 1Ezekiel. chapters. 2 & 3. This is a Hebraism which means to receive knowledge.

(10)  And I took the little book out of the messenger’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

(11)  And he said to me, “You have to prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and sovereigns.”

Now, Yahanan did describe this messenger in more detail than the others. The little book, in the messenger’s hand, signifies that it contains a message that will affect the whole world. The seven thunders are aspects of Hashem’s coming wrath. Yahanan was forbidden to write them down and not disclose their message. The tribulation period is the wrath period of Hashem and the judgments not revealed in the trumpets and the bowls will occur. No one knows in advance what will happen during the great day of the Master. In verse seven the “mystery of Hashem should be finished” would be the period following the seventh trumpet (Revelation 11:15) all the prophecies that Hashem revealed to His prophets about the day of the Master will come to pass.

When Yahanan was instructed to eat the “little book” and tasting as sweet as honey and in the belly bitter, Hashem’s Word is sweet to hear, but bitter as His curse on earth is clear.

Psalms 19:9-10

(9)  The fear of Hashem is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of Hashem are true, They are righteous altogether,

(10)  More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.

Jeremiah 15:16

(16)  Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart. For Your Name is called on me, O Hashem Elohim of hosts.

Ezekiel 3:1-3

(1)  And He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find, eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Yisra’ĕl.”

(2)  And I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.

(3)  And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your stomach, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I am giving you.” And I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth1. Footnote: 1Ps. 19:10, Ps. 119:103, Rev. 10:9-10.

When Yahanan ate the book it was as promised, it tasted sweet as honey. Referring to the joy that came to Yahanan, because Hashem was pleased to reveal His Word to and through him. The stomach turned bitter referring to the personal burden Yahanan has at bringing a message of such great suffering.

The “little book” also pronounces the judgments on the non-believers.

Chapter eleven is the second of the parenthetical chapters.

Revelation 11:1-2

(1)  And a reed like a measuring rod was given to me, and the messenger stood, saying, “Rise and measure the Dwelling Place of Elohim, and the altar, and those worshipping in it.

(2)  “But cast out the court which is outside the Dwelling Place, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the gentiles, and they shall trample the set-apart city under foot for forty-two months.

In verses one and two many believe that the forty-two months and the reed given to Yahanan was of a divine measure.

During the tribulations the temple has been desecrated and the worship of the False Prophet and Hasatan has begun.

Daniel 12:11-12

(11)  “And from the time that which is continual is taken away, and the abomination that lays waste is set up, is one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

(12)  “Blessed is he who is waiting earnestly, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

All of this is taking place in the 42 months as given in verses one and two.

Daniel 7:25-26

(25)  and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times1 and law2, and they are given into its hand for a time and times and half a time. Footnotes: 1This is another word for festivals. 2Changing the law amounts to lawlessness. Read in 2 Thess. 2:3-12 about “the lawless one” and the “lawlessness” which would take over (indeed, it has already taken over!) in the set-apart place, and also about Moshiach’s judgment upon the lawless “prophets” in Matthew. 7:23, and the lawless “believers” in Matthew. 13:41!

(26)  ‘But the Judgement shall sit, and they shall take away its rule, to cut off and to destroy, until the end.

During the tribulation Yisra’El and Yerushalayim will be oppressed by the Gentiles and will suffer greatly during this forty-two month period. This is believed to be the final forty-two month period.

Then the two witnesses will prophecy for forty-two months.

Revelation 11:3-12

(3)  “And I shall give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clad in sackcloth.”

(4)  These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that are standing before the Elohim of the earth.

(5)  And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes out from their mouth and consumes their enemies. And if anyone wishes to harm them, he has to be killed in that way.

(6)  These possess authority to shut the heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy. And they possess authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they wish.

(7)  And when they have ended their witness, the beast coming up out of the pit of the deep shall fight against them, and overcome them, and kill them,

(8)  and their dead bodies lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Seḏom and Mitsrayim, where also our Master was impaled,

(9)  and some of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations see their dead bodies for three and a half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be placed into tombs,

(10)  and those dwelling on the earth rejoice over them and exult. And they shall send gifts to each other, because these two prophets tortured those dwelling on the earth.

(11)  And after the three and a half days a spirit of life from Elohim entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

(12)  And they heard a loud voice from the heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up into the heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

The two witnesses, of who are not named here in the book of Revelation, will be sent by Hashem to preach the truth and prophecy for the final forty-two month period. The witnesses will have the power of Elijah.

Malachi 4:5

(5)  “See, I am sending you Ěliyah1 the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of Hashem. Footnote: 1Lk. 1:17.

The Scripture has also established that the two witnesses are required to affirm truth.

Zechariah 4:12-14

(12)  And I responded a second time and said to him, “What are these two olive branches which empty golden oil from themselves by means of the two gold pipes?”

(13)  And he answered me and said, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my master.”

(14)  And he said, “These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Master1 of all the earth.” Footnote: 1See vv. 3 & 11, also Matthew. 17:3-4, Rev. 11:3-10.

The olive tree was the source of the oil used to provide for the candlesticks, burning the oil, gave forth light. The symbols imply that during the period of 1260 days Hashem shall have two agencies, bearing divine witness, which shall give forth light to men. These agencies shall be filled and sustained by the Ruach HaKodesh.

The two witnesses are killed by the beast “False-Prophet”, because of the truth they preach  and cried out against the sins of the people. Yerushalayim will be called Sodom because of its immoral behavior and Egypt because of its worldly heart. The witnesses could not be killed until they had finished their work for Yah’shua.

Because of the two witnesses resurrection the people were scared; after the judgment in verse thirteen the remnant of those residing in Yerushalayim and it is not necessarily the Jews. The Gentiles have Yerushalayim for the forty-two months.

Revelation 11:13-14

(13)  And in that hour there came to be a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. And in the earthquake seven thousand men were killed, and the rest became afraid and gave esteem to the Elohim of the heaven.

(14)  The second woe is past, and see, the third woe is coming speedily.

The trumpet judgment resumes with the seventh trumpet.

Revelation 11:15-19

(15)  And the seventh messenger sounded, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Moshiach, and He shall reign forever and ever!”1 Footnote: 1See 12:10, Ps. 2:8, Ps. 22:28, Dan. 2:44, Dan. 7:13-14, Obadiah. 15-21, Haggai. 2:22, Zechariah. 14:9.

(16)  And the twenty-four elders sitting before Elohim on their thrones fell on their faces and worshipped Elohim,

(17)  saying, “We give You thanks, O Hashem Ěl Shaddai, the One who is and who was and who is coming, because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

(18)  “And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets and to the set-apart ones, and to those who fear Your Name, small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

(19)  And the Dwelling Place of Elohim was opened in the heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His Dwelling Place. And there came to be lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The seventh trumpet is the beginning of the end of the world as we know it.

The seventh trumpet of judgment sounded and proclaimed that the world has become the reign of Yah’shua and He will reign forever.

Ezekiel 21:26-27

(26)  thus said the Master Hashem, ‘Remove the turban, and take off the crown! This shall not remain! Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted.

(27)  ‘Overthrown, overthrown, I make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, until He comes to whom it rightly belongs – and I shall give it!’

Daniel 2:44

(44)  “And in the days of these sovereigns the Elah of the heavens shall set up a reign which shall never be destroyed, nor the reign pass on to other people – it crushes and puts to an end all these reigns, and it shall stand

Daniel 4:3

(3)  How great are His signs, and how mighty His wonders! His reign is an everlasting reign, and His rulership is from generation to generation.

Zechariah 14:9, “And the MASTER shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one MASTER, and his name one.”

Many schools of thought have the “Rapture”, or the taking up of the body of Moshiach as was taught in the 1970’s and the 1980’s to most of the assembly, all born again believers would be taken up before the great tribulations, this clearly is not in the Word of Hashem. There is no time table know to man at which time the body of Moshiach will be taken up. Some believe that it will be just prior to the two witnesses and some just after the two witnesses are taken up. Clearly the body of Moshiach will be taken up, but the timetable is not known. If, (that is IF) indeed the body of Moshiach is taken during the last forty-two months is should be just prior to the third woe and last or seventh trumpet. This will be just before the seven bowls of Hashem’s wrath, which begins in chapter sixteen.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

(16)  Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Moshiach shall rise first.

(17)  Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master.

Chapter twelve starts what some call the personages.

It presents four conflicts between Hashem and Hasatan, With Yah’shua and His work of redemption, with the faithful if Yisra’El. The devils conflict with heaven and then Hasatans conflict with born from above believers.

Revelation 12:1-2

(1)  And a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman clad with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

(2)  And being pregnant, she cried out in labour and in pain to give birth.

The Woman and the devil (Hasatan):

The woman is by some thought to be Yisra’El, the sun Yaʽaqob (Yisra’El), the moon his wife Raḥĕl and the twelve stars the twelve sons of Yaʽaqob. Some theologians believe that the 12 stars are the doctrine of truth preached by the twelve emissaries. Some theologians teach that the woman is the redeemed people of Hashem, as Hashem sees them, glorious and splendid. Hashem sees His redeemed people as sun clothed and star crowned.

Revelation 12:3-6

(3)  And another sign was seen in the heaven: and see, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads.

(4)  And his tail draws a third of the stars of the heaven and throws them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born.

(5)  And she bore a male child1 who was to shepherd all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught away to Elohim and to His throne. Footnote: 1Isa. 66:7.

(6)  And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

The seven heads are explained in chapter 17:9, where the seven-headed beast appears again, and the seven mountains and also the seven kingdoms. The ten horns are therefore said to be ten kingdoms that do not exist yet. I think that everyone would agree that the red dragon is Hasatan!

Revelation 12:7-12

(7)  And there came to be fighting in the heaven: Miḵa’ĕl and his messengers fought against the dragon. And the dragon and his messengers fought,

(8)  but they were not strong enough, nor was a place found for them in the heaven any longer.

(9)  And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him.

(10)  And I heard a loud voice saying in the heaven, “Now have come the deliverance and the power and the reign of our Elohim,1 and the authority of His Moshiach, for the accuser of our brothers, who accused them before our Elohim day and night, has been thrown down. Footnote: 1See 11:15.

(11)  “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.

(12)  “Because of this rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has little time.”

Some theologians believe that there was two great wars in heaven, one in verse four and then another war in verses seven, eight and nine. Verse four could, but not likely, be Hasatans original fall from heaven and his messengers with him.

Jude 1:6

(6)  And the messengers who did not keep their own principality, but left their own dwelling, He has kept in everlasting shackles under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

In any event in verses seven, eight and nine the war in heaven Hasatan loses and he and his messengers were cast out and hurled to earth. During the tribulation a great war will occur on earth as well as in heaven as Hasatan tries to defeat Hashem once again and loses the war, once again.

Some theologians believe that the reference to Michael is that of Yah’shua, but in the book of Daniel as one of the chief princes.

Daniel 10:13

“But the head of the rule of Persia withstood me twenty-one days. And see, Miḵa’ĕl, one of the chief heads, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the sovereigns of Persia.

Daniel 12:1

(1)  “Now at that time Miḵa’ĕl shall stand up, the great head who is standing over the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation, until that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book,

Revelation 11:13-17

(13)  And in that hour there came to be a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. And in the earthquake seven thousand men were killed, and the rest became afraid and gave esteem to the Elohim of the heaven.

(14)  The second woe is past, and see, the third woe is coming speedily.

(15)  And the seventh messenger sounded, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Moshiach, and He shall reign forever and ever!”1 Footnote: 1See 12:10, Ps. 2:8, Ps. 22:28, Dan. 2:44, Dan. 7:13-14, Obad. 15-21, Hag. 2:22, Zech.

The war in heaven could occur during the great tribulations as Yahanan saw in the future? Or past?

Luke 10:18

(18)  And He said to them, “I saw Satan falling out of the heaven as lightning.

So, the activity of Hasatan in heaven has come to a close and it intensifies his activities on earth, because he knows his time is short. Now is come salvation. We have next the songs of triumph sung in heaven. Now is come deliverance and strength and the kingdom of our Hashem and the power of His Moshiach. For the accuser of our brothers is cast down.

Revelation 12:10

(10)  And I heard a loud voice saying in the heaven, “Now have come the deliverance and the power and the reign of our Elohim,1 and the authority of His Moshiach, for the accuser of our brothers, who accused them before our Elohim day and night, has been thrown down. Footnote: 1See 11:15.

And they over came him by the blood of the lamb. This shows how the victory indicated in Revelation 12:8 was won, It was won by the blood of Yah’shua and the faithfulness of the set-apart ones.

Revelation 12:11

(11)  “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.

They were willing to give their lives for Yah’shua.

Woe for the earth and for the sea, is not an imprecation, but a prediction. Hasatan cast down will take another form to do his wicked work.

So, Hasatan is persecuting the born again believers and it is in a time period of 1,260 days, or three and one half years, or 42 months. Many believers will perish during this time period as warned by Yah’shua in Matthew:

Matthew 24:15-22

(15)  “So when you see the ‘abomination that lays waste,’1 spoken of by Dani’ĕl the prophet, set up in the set-apart place” – he who reads, let him understand –

(16)  “then let those who are in Yehuḏah flee to the mountains.

(17)  “Let him who is on the house-top not come down to take whatever out of his house.

(18)  “And let him who is in the field not turn back to get his garments.

(19)  “And woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing children in those days!

(20)  “And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.

(21)  “For then there shall be great distress,1 such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. Footnote:1 Or great pressure, or great affliction.

(22)  “And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the sake of the chosen ones those days shall be shortened.

Revelation 12:15-17

(15)  And out of his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river after the woman, to cause her to be swept away by the river.

(16)  And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

(17)  And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of Yah’shua HaMoshiach.

In verses fifteen through seventeen in chapter 12, the water from Hasatans mouth is most likely a picture of everything that Hasatan is trying to do to the born again believers to destroy them and their beliefs. The tribulation will indeed test the faith of all believers in the fulfillment of the promise of Yah’shua second coming. The dragon is enraged because Hashem protected her and the gates of the grave will not over come her.

Matthew 16:18

(18)  “And I also say to you that you are Kĕpha, and on this rock I shall build My assembly, and the gates of the grave shall not overcome it.

Chapter thirteen.

Revelation 13:1-3

(1)  And I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads names of blasphemy.

(2)  And the beast I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.

(3)  And I saw one of his heads, as having been slain to death, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the earth marveled after the beast.

There is much debate over the first line in chapter thirteen. In the NIV has the first line as, “and the dragon stood on the shore of the sea.” In the Greek it is in some cases been interpreted as, “and he stood upon the sand of the sea..” In the Hebrew it is interpreted as, “and I stood on the sand of the sea.”

In any event this chapter is focusing on the coming of the world government and the beast and the false prophet that runs amuck with it.

Some theologians believe that the world government will be the revived Roman Empire and its ruler in the end times as described by Daniel.

Daniel 7:7-8

(7)  “After this I looked in the night visions and saw a fourth beast, fearsome and burly, exceedingly strong. And it had great iron teeth. It devoured and crushed, and trampled down the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

(8)  “I was thinking about the horns, then saw another horn, a little one, coming up among them, and three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots before it. And see, eyes like the eyes of a man were in this horn, and a mouth speaking great words.

The ten horns represent ten governments as the horn is the possible symbol of political power and the ten crowns could be the emblems of the government authority. The blasphemous names indicate they are opposed to Hashem. Names like Iesus.

Daniel 7:24-25

(24)  ‘And the ten horns are ten sovereigns from this reign. They shall rise, and another shall rise after them, and it is different from the first ones, and it humbles three sovereigns,

2:3-12 about “the lawless one” and the “lawlessness” which would take over (indeed, it has already taken over!) in the set-apart place, and also about Moshiach’s judgment upon the lawless “prophets” in Mt. 7:23, and the lawless “believers” in Mt. 13:41!

The beast described in verse two is the same beast in verse one. This represents not only the Goyem world government, but also the leader of that government.

The person describe here as the beast will be as cruel as a beast. He will gain the religious and political power during the great tribulation.

Daniel 8:25

(25)  “And through his skill he shall make deceit prosper in his hand, and hold himself to be great in his heart, and destroy many who are at ease, and even stand against the Prince of princes – yet without hand he shall be broken.

Theologians disagree also on the translation of verse three. In the Greek and Latin the translation goes, “And I saw one of his heads wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” The Hebrew it is translated as, “And one of his heads was as if it were wounded to death and he was resurrected [from] the wound of death and the whole world was amazed after the beast.” Now, some schools of thought believe that it is a man, or person, that is resurrected. Yet some theologians believe that is the fragments of the Roman Empire that have never ceased to exist; the one head wounded to death. Some believe that it is the restoration of the imperial form as such, being restored or that there is an Emperor again.

Revelation 13:4-10

(4)  And they worshipped the dragon who gave authority to the beast. And they worshipped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to fight with him?”

(5)  And he was given a mouth speaking great matters and blasphemies, and he was given authority to do so forty-two months.

(6)  And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against Elohim, to blaspheme His Name, and His Tent, and those dwelling in the heaven.

(7)  And it was given to him to fight with the set-apart ones and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe and tongue and nation.

(8)  And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world shall worship him.

(9)  If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

(10)  He who brings into captivity shall go into captivity, he who kills with the sword has to be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the belief of the set-apart ones.

It is not within Hasatans power to raise someone from the dead. However, it is within Hasatans power to heal that which may seem to be dead. He uses misdirection and deceit.

Revelation 13:11-18

(11)  And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

(12)  And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

(13)  And he does great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from the heaven on the earth before men.

(14)  And he leads astray those dwelling on the earth because of those signs which he was given to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword, yet lived.

(15)  And there was given to him to give spirit to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause to be killed as many as would not worship the image of the beast.

(16)  And he causes all, both small and great, and rich and poor, and free and slave, to be given a mark upon their right hand or upon their foreheads,

(17)  and that no one should be able to buy or sell except he that has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

(18)  Here is the wisdom! He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.1 Footnote: 1Some ancient manuscripts have 616 instead of 666.

The beast is able to become world ruler in the final three and one half years of the tribulation.

In verse eight, “slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world”, refers  as Yah’shua HaMoshiach was in the Divine purpose appointed from the foundation of the world to redeem man by his blood, he therefore is, in a very eminent sense, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, i.e., from the creation. In verse eight also the whole world except the born again believers will worship the beast.

Romans 4:17

(17)  as it has been written, “I have made you a father of many nations” – in the presence of Him whom he believed, even Elohim, who gives life to the dead and calls that which does not exist as existing,

In verse ten this is when Hashem’s set-apart people must preserve and trust. This emphasizes the sovereignty of Hashem which takes into consideration the response to the message of truth. Hashem honors sincere faith in coming to Him.

In verses eleven and twelve, another person is introduced and Yahanan wrote, “And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.” The fact that one comes out of the earth refers he comes out of the world, but not necessarily from the mid-east. The two horns may infer that he had some political authority and being referred to as the lamb, which would infer that he had religious authority. It is often overlooked that Hasatan has miraculous powers yet they are limited and less than Hashem’s.

The false prophet, the beast of the earth, is able to provide a basis for the belief in the beast of the sea by the miracles he performs. “And he does great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from the heaven on the earth before men.” He may compare himself to Ěliyahu and his miracle.

2 Kings 1:10-12

(10)  And Ěliyahu answered and said to the captain of fifty, “And if I am a man of Elohim, let fire come down from the heavens and consume you and your fifty men.” And fire came down from the heavens and consumed him and his fifty.

(11)  He then sent another captain of fifty with his fifty men to him. And he answered and said to him, “Man of Elohim, this is what the sovereign said, ‘Come down at once!’ ”

(12)  And Ěliyah answered and said to them, “If I am a man of Elohim, let fire come down from the heavens and consume you and your fifty men.” And a fire of Elohim came down from the heavens and consumed him and his fifty.

He has an image made of the beast, probably and idol depicting the beast, and has the people to honor the first beast.

In verses fifteen through eighteen, some believe that the second beast has the power to give the idol life as the make people think the beast is alive and could speak and order all to worship the beast. Those who don’t are killed. The part requiring people to have a mark or a stamp on their forehead or right hand to identify the worshipers of the beast isn’t hard to understand in today’s computer world. The scripture implies the enforcement of the mark to the entire human race. This mark is essential to either buy or sell products and would put tremendous pressure on the born again believers who would resist this. The number of course is six hundred and sixty six or 666.

In the book of Revelation the number seven indicates perfection. There are seven seals, seven trumpets, seven bowls and seven thunders. The beast claims to be Hashem so his number should be seven hundred seventy seven, but he is short of a deity and his deck is short a few cards.

The beast, leading up to the second coming of Yah’shua, will dominate the last three and one half years.

Chapter fourteen is a parenthetical chapter like chapters twelve and thirteen. In chapter fourteen the first five verses are the vision of the lamb and the 144,000.

Revelation 14:1-5

(1)  And I looked and saw a Lamb standing on Mount Tsiyon, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s Name1 written upon their foreheads. Footnote: 1Some texts read: having His Name and His Father’s Name.

(2)  And I heard a voice out of the heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder, and I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.

(3)  And they sang a renewed song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders. And no one was able to learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.

(4)  They are those who were not defiled with women, for they are maidens. They are those following the Lamb wherever He leads them on. They were redeemed from among men, being first-fruits to Elohim and to the Lamb.

(5)  And in their mouth was found no falsehood, for they are blameless before the throne of Elohim.

Revelation 14:6-7

(6)  And I saw another messenger flying in mid-heaven, holding the everlasting Good News to announce to those dwelling on the earth, even to every nation and tribe and tongue and people,

(7)  saying with a loud voice, “Fear Elohim and give esteem to Him, because the hour of His judgment has come. And worship Him who made the heaven and the earth, and sea, and fountains of water.”

Verses six and seven, is my belief that the good news is, but not of salvation. This being that an announcement that Hashem will judge the wicked.

Revelation 14:8

(8)  And another messenger followed, saying, “Baḇel is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her whoring.”

Verse eight is the fall of Babylon. This I believe is the fall of the world government, which will be instilled in chapter eighteen.

Revelation 14:9-13

(9)  And a third messenger followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark upon his forehead or upon his hand,

(10)  he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim, which is poured out undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he shall be tortured with fire and sulphur before the set-apart messengers and before the Lamb.

(11)  “And the smoke of their torture goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those worshipping the beast and his image, also if anyone receives the mark of his name.”

(12)  Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones,1 here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of Yah’shua.2 Footnotes: 1In 12:17 they are called “the remnant”

(13)  And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “in order that they rest from their labours, and their works follow with them.”

These verses tell of the wrath to come for those who defy Hashem and worship the beast and his image. It is forever and the verses tell us. Those who refused to worship the beast and were faithful and died in the Master will be taken care of and given rest.

Revelation 14:14-20

(14)  And I looked and saw a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was One like the Son of Aḏam, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.

(15)  And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place, crying with a loud voice to the One sitting on the cloud, “Send Your sickle and reap, because the hour has come for You to reap, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.”

(16)  And the One sitting on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

(17)  And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place which is in the heaven, and he too held a sharp sickle.

(18)  And another messenger came out from the altar, having authority over the fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him having the sharp sickle, saying, “Send your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe.”

(19)  And the messenger thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of Elohim.

(20)  And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the bridles of the horses, for about three hundred kilometres. (Approximately two hundred miles)

A glimpse of Armageddon. The gathering of the wicked to judgment is now shown in the symbols. Another messenger comes forth with a sickle in his hand. HaMoshiach, by his messengers, was the great reaper of the righteous harvest. They that are Moshiach's are gathered by Him at His coming, but the wicked are gathered by another, here presented as a messenger reaper.

The end had come, the assembly was redeemed and the work contemplated was accomplished and the results of the work of the Savior were like a glorious harvest.

Chapter fifteen verse 1 starts the seven vials or wraths of Hashem that goes to Revelation 16:21.

Revelation 15:1-8

(1)  And I saw another sign in the heaven, great and marvellous: seven messengers having the seven last plagues,1 for the wrath of Elohim was ended in them. Footnote: 1See 21:9.

(2)  And I saw like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those overcoming the beast and his image and his mark and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of Elohim.

(3)  And they sing the song of Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are Your works, Hashem Ěl Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart ones!

(4)  “Who shall not fear You, O Hashem, and esteem Your Name? Because You alone are kind. Because all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your righteousness have been made manifest.”

(5)  And after this I looked and saw the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Witness in the heaven was opened.

(6)  And out of the Dwelling Place came the seven messengers having the seven plagues, dressed in clean bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.

(7)  And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven messengers seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of Elohim who lives forever and ever.

(8)  And the Dwelling Place was filled with smoke from the esteem of Elohim and from His power, and no one was able to enter the Dwelling Place until the seven plagues of the seven messengers were ended.

The sea of glass here is the same as in Revelation chapter four verse six. I believe signifies the Word of Hashem. We as born again believers stand on the Word of Hashem. This is designed to manifest the glory of Hashem. Yahanan recorded that those who stand on the sea of glass, “Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb.” This implies that there is one song for Mosheh and one song for the Lamb. The song of Mosheh could be the one in Exodus 15:1-19.

Exodus 15:1-19

(1)  Then Mosheh and the children of Yisra’ĕl sang this song to Hashem, and spoke, saying, “I sing to Hashem, for He is highly exalted! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!

(2)  “Yah is my strength and song, and He has become my deliverance. He is my Ěl, and I praise Him – Elohim of my father, and I exalt Him.

(3)  “Hashem is a man of battle, Hashem is His Name.

(4)  “He has cast Pharaoh’s chariots and his army into the sea, and his chosen officers are drowned in the Sea of Reeds.

(5)  “The depths covered them, they went down to the bottom like a stone.

(6)  “Your right hand, O Hashem, has become great in power. Your right hand, O Hashem, has crushed the enemy.

(7)  “And in the greatness of Your excellence You pulled down those who rose up against You. You sent forth Your wrath, it consumed them like stubble.

(8)  “And with the wind of Your nostrils the waters were heaped up, the floods stood like a wall, the depths became stiff in the heart of the sea.

(9)  “The enemy said, ‘I pursue, I overtake, I divide the spoil, my being is satisfied on them. I draw out my sword, my hand destroys them.’

(10)  “You did blow with Your wind, the sea covered them, they sank like lead in the mighty waters.

(11)  “Who is like You, O Hashem, among the mighty ones? Who is like You, great in set-apartness, awesome in praises, working wonders?

(12)  “You stretched out Your right hand, the earth swallowed them.

(13)  “In Your kindness You led the people whom You have redeemed, in Your strength You guided them to Your set-apart dwelling.

(14)  “Peoples heard, they trembled, anguish gripped the inhabitants of Philistia.

(15)  “Then the chiefs of Eḏom were troubled, the mighty men of Mo’aḇ, trembling grips them, all the inhabitants of Kenaʽan melted.

(16)  “Fear and dread fell on them, by the greatness of Your arm they are as silent as a stone, until Your people pass over, O Hashem, until the people, whom You have bought, pass over.

(17)  “You bring them in and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, in the place, O Hashem, which You have made for Your own dwelling, the set-apart place, O Hashem, which Your hands have prepared.

(18)  “Hashem reigns forever and ever.”

(19)  For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and Hashem brought back the waters of the sea upon them. And the children of Yisra’ĕl went on dry ground in the midst of the sea.

Because Hashem is righteous and Set-apart He will bring His judgments on men as indicated in the closing words of the song. THE song of the Lamb is sung, “Great and marvellous are Your works, Hashem Ěl Shaddai! “Who shall not fear You, O Hashem, and esteem Your Name? Because You alone are kind. Because all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your righteousness have been made manifest.””

Chapter sixteen starts the pouring out of the seven bowls of Hashem’s wrath. This is the place where we as believers of HashemYah’shua don’t want to be!

Revelation 16:1

(1)  And I heard a loud voice from the Dwelling Place saying to the seven messengers, “Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of Elohim on the earth.”

The great voice here I believe is the voice of Hashem, but it isn’t mentioned as such.

The first vial:

Revelation 16:2

(2)  And the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and an evil and wicked sore came upon the men, those having the mark of the beast and those worshipping his image.

The difference between this and the first trumpet is that on the first trumpet one third of the earth was burned up and the sores were upon all people who had the mark of the beast.

The second vial:

Revelation 16:3

(3)  And the second messenger poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood, as of a dead one, and every living creature in the sea died.

This is similar to the second trumpet when a third of the sea is turned to blood, but the second vial is the entire sea. It is also similar to the judgment of Egypt on the river Nile.

The third vial:

Revelation 16:4-7

(4)  And the third messenger poured out his bowl on the rivers and fountains of water, and they became blood.

(5)  And I heard the messenger of the waters saying, “You are righteous, O Hashem, the One who is and who was and who shall be, because You have judged these.

(6)  “Because they have shed the blood of set-apart ones and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. For they deserve it.”

(7)  And I heard another out of the altar saying, “Yes, Hashem Ěl Shaddai, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

Hashem is omnipotent in that nothing is impossible for Hashem so that the seas and the rivers become blood. Attention is called to the third vial to the martyrdom of the set-apart ones and the rejection of the prophets so the judgment was declared righteous.

The forth vial:

Revelation 16:8-9

(8)  And the fourth messenger poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to burn men with fire.

(9)  And men were burned with great heat, and they blasphemed the Name of Elohim who possesses authority over these plagues. And they did not repent, to give Him esteem.

There is some similarity to the forth vial and the forth trumpet. The forth vial relates to the sun and its intensity as the forth trumpet related to the sun, moon and stars.

The fifth vial:

Revelation 16:10-11

(10)  And the fifth messenger poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his reign became darkened. And they gnawed their tongues from pain.

(11)  And they blasphemed the Elohim of the heaven for their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their works.

This apparently increases the severity of the first vial. The theme of the failure to repent is again repeated here. Men do not easily come to repentance when faced with the power of Hashem, but instead enlarge their rebellion against Hashem.

The sixth vial:

Revelation 16:12

(12)  And the sixth messenger poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, in order to prepare the way of the sovereigns from the east.

In 605 B.C., "Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon" came "unto Yerushalayim, and besieged it." Daniel 1:1. Yerushalayim was conquered and Yisra’el was taken captive for 70 years (Daniel 9:2). After those 70 years, an amazing set of circumstances occurred. The Euphrates was dried up, Babylon was conquered from the east, and Yisra’el was delivered.

When the sixth vial is poured the second coming of Yah’shua is very near. This is a literal translation of the Scripture naming the river Euphrates. Just before the second coming of Yah’shua is a world at war in which various parts of the world rebel against the world ruler, the anti-Messiah, who is in power as a dictator. The sixth vial opens the way for the “kings of the east” to cross the Euphrates. The river is apparently dried up for the crossing of the two hundred million-man army.

The next three verses Yahanan tells us about Armageddon.

Revelation 16:13-16

(13)  And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as frogs,

(14)  for they are spirits of demons, doing signs, which go out to the sovereigns of the entire world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of Hashem Elyon.

(15)  “See, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who is staying awake and guarding his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

(16)  And they gathered them together to the place called in Heḇrew, Har Meḡiddo.

This is the demonic gathering of the world army, the two hundred-million. The frogs are the demonic messengers who respond to the direction of Hasatan and the anti-Messiah. They are sent through out the world to entice the kings of the world to join in the great war of which gets underway in Yisra’el. The gathering of the armies is in preparation of the second coming of Yah’shua. Yah’shua Himself proclaims the warning to be prepared, “See, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who is staying awake and guarding his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” The armies are gathered in Yisra’el to fight it out for power. The armies will be scattered over a two hundred mile area. The area is in the northern region of Yisra’el in the plane near mount Megiddo in Esdraelon.

Esdraelon: the Greek form of the Hebrew Jezreel -- the name of the great plain which stretches across Central Yisra’el from the Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea and separates the mountain ranges of Carmel and Samaria from those of Galilee; extending about 14 miles from north to south and 9 miles from east to west. It is drained by that ancient river the Kishon which flows westward to the Mediterranean. From the foot of Mount Tabor it branches out into three valleys; that on the north passing between Tabor and Little Hermon -- that on the south between Mount Gilboa and En-Gannim -- while the central portion - the Valley of Jezreel proper - runs into the Jordan Valley (which is about 1000 feet lower than Esdraelon) by Beth Shan ...

Here (1) Gideon gained his great victory over the Midianites (2) Barak defeated Sisera (3) the army of Saul was defeated by the Philistines (4) King Josiah -- while fighting in disguise against Necho King of Egypt -- was slain. This plain has been well called the battle field of Yisra’el. It has been a chosen place for encampment in every contest carried on in this country from the days of King Nebuchadnezzar of the Chaldeans -- in the history of whose wars with Arphaxad it is mentioned as the Great Plain of Esdraelon -- until the disastrous march of Napoleon Bonaparte from Egypt into Syria ...

Jews -- Gentiles -- Saracens -- Crusaders -- Frenchmen -- Egyptians -- Persians -- Druses -- Turks -- Arabs; warriors out of every nation which is under heaven have pitched their tents in the plain and have beheld the various banners of their nations wet with the dews of Tabor and Hermon ...

The seventh vial:

Revelation 16:17-21

(17)  And the seventh messenger poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the Dwelling Place of the heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

(18)  And there came to be noises and thunders and lightnings. And there came to be a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not came to be since men were on the earth.

(19)  And the great city became divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Baḇel was remembered before Elohim, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

(20)  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

(21)  And great hail from the heaven fell upon men, every hailstone about the weight of a talent. And men blasphemed Elohim for the plague of the hail, because that plague was exceedingly great.

A talent weight in pounds is about 118 pounds, a very large hailstone.

The seventh vial is the final judgments on earth preceding the second coming of Yah’shua.

In verse nineteen “the great city was divided into three parts”, this doesn’t indicate what great city is identified as. Yerushalayim was mentioned in chapter eleven verse eight, however, in chapter sixteen verse nineteen this cannot be Yerushalayim. In the book of Zechariah chapter fourteen it speaks about Yerushalayim being intact upon the arrival of Yah’shua and that the other cities of the world are destroyed.

Zechariah 14:1-21

(1)  See, a day shall come for Hashem, and your spoil shall be divided in your midst.

(2)  And I shall gather all the gentiles to battle against Yerushalayim1. And the city shall be taken, the houses plundered, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into exile, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Footnote: 1Joel 3:2, Zephaniah. 3:8, Rev. 16:14.

(3)  And Hashem shall go forth, and He shall fight against those gentiles, as He fights in the day of battle.

(4)  And in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, which faces Yerushalayim on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south.

(5)  And you shall flee to the valley of My mountain – for the valley of the mountains reaches to Atsal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziyah sovereign of Yehuḏah. And Hashem my Elohim shall come – all the set-apart ones with You.

(6)  And in that day it shall be: there is no light, it is dark.

(7)  And it shall be one day which is known to Hashem, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light.

(8)  And in that day it shall be that living waters flow from Yerushalayim1, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea, in summer as well as in winter. Footnote: 1Rev. 22:1-2.

(9)  And Hashem shall be Sovereign over all the earth1. In that day there shall be one Hashem, and His Name one. Footnote: 1Isa. 24:23, Dan. 2:44, Rev. 11:15.

(10)  All the land shall be changed into a desert plain from Geḇa to Rimmon south of Yerushalayim, and she shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Binyamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Ḥanan’ĕl to the winepresses of the sovereign.

(11)  And they shall dwell in her, and there shall be no more utter destruction1, but Yerushalayim shall be safely inhabited. Footnote: 1Mal. 4:6.

(12)  And this is the plague with which Hashem plagues all the people who fought against Yerushalayim: their flesh shall decay while they stand on their feet, and their eyes decay in their sockets, and their tongues decay in their mouths.

(13)  And it shall be in that day that a great confusion from Hashem is among them, and everyone of them shall seize the hand of his neighbour, and his hand rise up against his neighbour’s hand.

(14)  And Yehuḏah shall fight at Yerushalayim as well. And the wealth of all the gentiles round about shall be gathered together: gold, and silver, and garments in great quantities.

(15)  So also is the plague on the horse and the mule, on the camel and the donkey, and on all the cattle that are in those camps – as this plague.

(16)  And it shall be that all who are left from all the gentiles which came up against Yerushalayim, shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the Sovereign, Hashem of hosts, and to observe the Festival of Booths.

(17)  And it shall be, that if anyone of the clans of the earth does not come up to Yerushalayim to bow himself to the Sovereign, Hashem of hosts, on them there is to be no rain.

(18)  And if the clan of Mitsrayim does not come up and enter in, then there is no rain. On them is the plague with which Hashem plagues the gentiles who do not come up to observe the Festival of Booths.

(19)  This is the punishment of Mitsrayim and the punishment of all the gentiles that do not come up to observe the Festival of Booths.

(20)  In that day “SET-APART TO Hashem” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. And the pots in the House of Hashem shall be like the bowls before the altar.

(21)  And every pot in Yerushalayim and Yehuḏah shall be set-apart to Hashem of hosts. And all those who slaughter shall come and take them and cook in them. And there shall no longer be a merchant in the House of Hashem of hosts, in that day.

Also in chapter sixteen Yahanan describes that all the mountains and islands are destroyed in verses twenty and twenty one. So this great earthquake changes the face of the earth by destroying the mountains and the islands and destroys all the cities of the world.

Chapter seventeen starts off with the doom of Babylon:

Revelation 17:1-7

(1)  And one of the seven messengers who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying to me, “Come, I shall show you the judgment of the great whore sitting on many waters,1 Footnote: 1See v. 15.

(2)  with whom the sovereigns of the earth committed whoring, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her whoring.”

(3)  And he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast covered with names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

(4)  And the woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup filled with abominations and the filthiness of her whoring,1 Footnote: 1Jer. 51:7.

(5)  and upon her forehead a name written, a secret: BAḆEL THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE WHORES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

(6)  And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the set-apart ones, and with the blood of the witnesses of יהוהשע. And having seen her, I marvelled – greatly marvelled!

(7)  And the messenger said to me, “Why did you marvel? Let me explain to you the secret of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

This begins the fall of the world religion or the ecclesiastical Babylon. Chapter eighteen is the fall of Babylon the symbol for the world system dominated by Hasatan while manifesting wickedness politically, religiously and commercially. Babylon will be completely destroyed during the last three and one half years of the tribulation. Most Christian theologians believe that Babylon is the apostate Christians during the end times. Those would be ones who made “professions of faith,” but didn’t become born again believers. You know those that really weren’t saved. (sic) In the Scriptures prostitution and adultery, when used figuratively, normally denotes religious apostasy or cretinism and unfaithfulness to Hashem through idolatry.

Isaiah 1:21

(21)  How the steadfast city has become a whore! I have filled it with right-ruling; righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers.

Jeremiah 3:9

(9)  “And it came to be, through her frivolous whoring, that she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and wood.

James 4:4

(4)  Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Elohim?1 Whoever therefore intends to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Elohim. Footnote: 1Mt. 13:22, Lk. 4:5-6, Lk. 14:33, Rom. 12:2, 1 John 2:15-17.

The beast is the world government or the political Babylon. The cup “Full of abominations” revels the world assembly or the spiritual condition of such, beautiful on the outside, spiritually dead on the inside. Offering people Hashem and the world satisfaction, or immorality and still be accepted by Hashem. This is revealed because the religion of Babylon was a secret religious rite in which they worshiped certain idols. It requires divine revelation to understand completely what they held. The wife of Nimrod, who is the founder of Babylon, headed up the mystery religion which characterized Babylon. She was given the name Samiramis and according to their beliefs, she had a son conceived miraculously whose name was Tammuz. He was portrayed as a savior who fulfils the promise of deliverance given to Chawah. This is a Hasatan description which permeates pagan religions.

The last forms of the world government:

Revelation 17:8-18

(8)  “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the pit of the deep and goes to destruction. And those dwelling on the earth, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, shall marvel when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (they will see who he really is)

(9)  “Here is the mind having wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.

(10)  “And there are seven sovereigns: five have fallen, and one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he has to remain a little while.

(11)  “And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes to destruction.

(12)  “And the ten horns which you saw are ten sovereigns who have not yet received a reign, but receive authority as sovereigns with the beast for one hour.

(13)  “They have one mind, and they shall give their power and authority to the beast.

(14)  “They shall fight with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for He is Master of masters and Sovereign of sovereigns. And those with Him are called, and chosen, and trustworthy.”

(15)  And he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and crowds, and nations, and tongues.

(16)  “And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these shall hate the whore, and lay her waste and naked, and eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

(17)  “For Elohim did give it into their hearts to do His mind, to be of one mind, and to give their reign to the beast, until the words of Elohim shall be accomplished.

(18)  “And the woman whom you saw is that great city having sovereignty over the sovereigns of the earth.”

In verse eight, “the book of life from the foundation of the world” cannot be misconstrued as predestination of salvation and damnation. According to Yahanan a person’s name can be removed from the book of life by disloyalty and failure to overcome.

Revelation 22:19

(19)  and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the set-apart city, which are written in this Book.

Psalms 69:28

(28)  Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, And not be written with the righteous.

Revelation 3:5

(5)  “He who overcomes shall be dressed in white robes, and I shall by no means blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I shall confess his name before My Father and before His messengers.

Also in verse eight the beast that “was, and is not” some believe that is the world leader once dead and resurrected or healed by Hasatan. This takes from an earlier leader from history, or the resurrection of the Roman Empire. Because of the miraculous qualities that enter into the world ruler the unsaved will be astonished and will put their trust in the beast as Hashem.

In the Hebrew text, “is and is about to come up out of the pit of the deep and goes to destruction.” Now, Yahanan is telling us next that, “Here is the mind having wisdom.” He is telling us to figure it out as best we can. The confusion here is that the seven heads are the seven mountains on which the prostitute sits and the key is next, they are seven kings or sovereigns. That would leave out the Seven Hills of Rome, because they can’t be seven kings. Further a statement is made, “five have fallen, one is, and one has not yet come, when he does come, he must continue a little while.” This could not refer to hills. Although Yahanan referring to the, “one is” probably referring to the Roman Empire as they were in power at the time of Moshiach.

Verses twelve and thirteen:

The beast is most certainly the anti-Messiah who will be the head of the final world empire. He belongs to the same world system although not a part of them. The ten kings are the ten world powers that oppose Hashem and attempt to defeat Hashem. In “sovereigns with the beast for one hour” is a short period of time.

In verse thirteen they give their power to the beast, or give their all to cause people to worship, or to honor the beast.

Both the “whore” and the beast are opposed to Yah’shua and make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb overcomes them because He is the Sovereign of sovereigns and the Master of masters. As the messenger describes to Yahanan that the “The waters which you saw, where the whore sits” is the multitudes and the nations, for the world religion and the beast are worldwide.

Then the beast and the ten sovereigns will devour the whore (the world religion). Now that Hasatan has world power and is in control, he doesn’t need the world religion anymore and destroys it. This is where the world ruler now will claim to be Hashem him self and Hasatan becomes the world religion. Does this take place in the first three and one half years? No, it takes place in the last three and one half years. In other words the first three and one half years takes to bring to power and the last three and one half years the destruction of the false religion.

Chapter eighteen is the destruction of the political Babylon:

This is where the world ruler takes over and the Hasatan’s powers to be are basically in charge.

Revelation 18:1

(1)  And after this I saw another messenger coming down from the heaven, having great authority, and the earth was lightened from his esteem.

Psalms 104:2

(2)  Covering Yourself with light as with a garment, Stretching out the heavens like a curtain,

Exodus 34:29-35

(29)  And it came to be, when Mosheh came down from Mount Sinai, while the two tablets of the Witness were in Mosheh’s hand when he came down from the mountain, that Mosheh did not know that the skin of his face shone since he had spoken with Him.

(30)  And Aharon and all the children of Yisra’ĕl looked at Mosheh and saw the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.

(31)  But Mosheh called out to them, and Aharon and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him, and Mosheh spoke to them.

(32)  And afterward all the children of Yisra’ĕl came near, and he commanded them all that Hashem had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.

(33)  And when Mosheh ended speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.

(34)  But whenever Mosheh went in before Hashem to speak with Him, he would remove the veil until he came out. And when he came out he spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl what he had been commanded,

(35)  and the children of Yisra’ĕl would see the face of Mosheh, that the skin of Mosheh’s face shone, and Mosheh would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.

Revelation 18:2-3

(2)  And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, “Baḇel the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, and a haunt for every unclean and hated bird,

(3)  because all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her whoring, and the sovereigns of the earth have committed whoring with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her riotous living.”

The world religion has fallen, the demonic assembly and the devil’s have taken over.

Revelation 18:4-8

(4)  And I heard another voice from the heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.1 Footnote: 1Jer. 51:6 & 45.

(5)  “Because her sins have piled up to reach the heaven, and Elohim has remembered her unrighteousnesses.

(6)  “Render to her as she indeed did render, and repay her double according to her works. In the cup which she has mixed, mix for her double.

(7)  “As much as she esteemed herself and lived riotously, so much torture and grief give to her, because in her heart she says, ‘I sit as sovereigness, and I am not a widow, and I do not see mourning at all.’

(8)  “Because of this her plagues shall come in one day: death and mourning and scarcity of food. And she shall be burned up with fire, because Hashem Elohim who judges her is mighty.

The believers who are here at this time are warned to come out of her and not partake of the sins of Babylon. Those believers who do not come out, are destroyed and their names blotted out of the book of life. Verse five let us know that the final wrath of Hashem will take place against the beast and the ten sovereigns. To repay her double is as in the TaNaK.

Isaiah 40:2

(2)  “Speak to the heart of Yerushalayim, and cry out to her, that her hard service is completed, that her crookedness is pardoned, that she has received from the hand of Hashem double for all her sins.”

The Torahlessnes, (the law-less), or the world system refuses to see just what it really is in verse seven. As the Christians insist that the Torah was “nailed at the cross” and they can rape and pillage and murder all they want and they will be forgiven.

Of course in verse eight is the judgment of the Master.

Revelation 18:9-10

(9)  “And the sovereigns of the earth who committed whoring and lived riotously with her shall weep and mourn over her, when they see the smoke of her burning,

(10)  standing at a distance for fear of her torture, saying, ‘Woe! Woe, the great city Baḇel, the mighty city, because your judgment has come in one hour!’

Because your judgment has come in one hour, or very quickly in a short period of time.

Revelation 18:11-13

(11)  “And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their merchandise any more –

(12)  merchandise of gold and silver, and precious stone and pearls, and fine linen and purple, and silk and scarlet, and all citron wood, and every object of ivory, and every object of most precious wood and bronze and iron and marble,

(13)  and cinnamon and incense, and fragrant oil and frankincense, and wine and oil, and fine flour and wheat, and cattle and sheep, and horses and carriages, and bodies and lives of men.

All of those who were made rich by this world system will truly tell where their treasures are. They will watch the destruction of the beast and the world power system.

Understand after the destruction of the world power and the destruction of Hasatan and his demons, or the judgment and the imprisoning of them will come the thousand year reign of our Master Yah’shua HaMoshiach. The people that watched to destruction of the world power, they are still here. In the book of Revelation only one third of the population was destroyed. At this present time there are just over six billion people on this planet. At four billion or just lest will be here during Yah’shua’ reign.

Revelation 18:14-24

(14)  “And the fruit that your being longed for has gone from you. And all your riches and splendour are lost to you, and you shall find them no more, not at all.

(15)  “The merchants of these, those who became rich by her, shall stand at a distance for fear of her torture, weeping and mourning,

(16)  and saying, ‘Woe! Woe, the great city that was dressed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!

(17)  ‘For in one hour such great riches was laid waste.’ And every shipmaster, and every passenger, and sailors, and as many as work the sea for their living, stood at a distance,

(18)  and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like this great city?’

(19)  “And they threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and mourning, and saying, ‘Woe! Woe, the great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she was laid waste.’

(20)  “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you set-apart emissaries and prophets, for Elohim has completely avenged you on her!”

(21)  And one mighty messenger picked up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “With such a rush the great city Baḇel shall be thrown down, and shall not be found any more at all.

(22)  “And the sound of harpists, and musicians, and flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you any more at all. And no craftsman of any trade shall be found in you any more at all. And the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you any more at all.

(23)  “And the light of a lamp shall not shine in you any more at all. And the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you any more at all. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, for by your drug sorcery all the nations were led astray.

(24)  “And in her was found the blood of prophets and set-apart ones, and of all who were slain on the earth.”

They are going to cry that they lost everything. So, where is your treasure?

The mourners had shared Babylon’s sensual pleasures and gained by its wealth and trade. The kings of the earth, of whom it flattered into idolatry allowing them to be tyrannical over its subjects, while being obedient to Babylon. The spirit of the anti-Messiah is a worldly spirit and their sorrow is a worldly sorrow, they don’t fear the anger of Hashem, but instead cry for the loss of their worldly comforts.

Death at any rate will soon end their commerce and all the riches of the Torah less will be exchanged for the fire that cannot be quenched.

Chapter nineteen is the announcement of the second coming of Yah’shua HaMoshiach! Yahanan is now introduced to the wedding of the Lamb and the marriage supper.

Most of the book of Revelation is the judgment of the world. In this chapter is the divine plan and reward for the born from above believers.

Revelation 19:1-6

(1)  And after this I heard a loud voice of a great crowd in the heaven, saying, “Halleluyah! Deliverance and esteem and respect and power to Hashem our Elohim!

(2)  “Because true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great whore who corrupted the earth with her whoring. And He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”

(3)  And a second time they said, “Halleluyah! And her smoke rises up forever and ever!”

(4)  And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped Elohim who sat on the throne, saying, “Amĕn! Halleluyah!”

(5)  And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our Elohim, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”

(6)  And I heard as the voice of a great crowd, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunders, saying, “Halleluyah, for Hashem Ěl Shaddai reigns!

Hallelujah, praise the Master! This is the only place in the Messianic writings where this word is found. This is a time for rejoicing and praising of Hashem for the great victory.

This is from two Hebrew words “halal” meaning praise and “Yah” meaning Hashem.”

Revelation 19:7-10

(7)  “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him praise, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife prepared herself.”

(8)  And to her it was given to be dressed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the set-apart ones.

(9)  And he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true words of Elohim.”

(10)  And I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “See, do not do it! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who possess the witness of יהושע. Worship Elohim! For the witness of יהושע is the spirit of prophecy.”

The body of HaMoshiach, the born from above believers, look forward to this day. The day when the marriage of Yah’shua to all the believers and we are to be made righteous and be blessed. The messenger says to worship Hashem.

Revelation 19:11-21

(11)  And I saw the heaven opened, and there was a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Trustworthy and True, and in righteousness He judges and fights.1 Footnote: 1See Acts 10:42.

(12)  And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself1 – Footnote: 1See 2:17.

(13)  and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood – and His Name is called: The Word of Hashem.1 Footnote: 1John 1:1 & 14.

(14)  And the armies in the heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

(15)  And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations. And He shall shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Ěl Shaddai.

(16)  And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS.

(17)  And I saw one messenger standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great Elohim,

(18)  to eat the flesh of sovereigns, and the flesh of commanders, and the flesh of strong ones, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.”

(19)  And I saw the beast, and the sovereigns of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to fight Him who sat on the horse and His army.

(20)  And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he led astray those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. The two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulphur.

(21)  And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS

Yah’shua our Savior!!!

This is the departure of Yah’shua from heaven and the messengers preparing for war with Hasatan and the anti-Messiah.

The call of the birds to feast in verses seventeen and eighteen is that the two hundred million man army is so large that they can’t be buried, so the birds will feast on their carcasses. Yum, Yum…

Ezekiel 39:17-20

(17)  “And you, son of man, thus said the Master Hashem, ‘Speak to every sort of bird and to every beast of the field, “Assemble yourselves and come, gather from all around to My offering which I am slaughtering for you, a great offering on the mountains of Yisra’ĕl, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood.

(18)  “Eat the flesh of the mighty, drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams and lambs, of goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

(19)  “And you shall eat fat till you are filled, and drink blood till you are drunk, at My offering which I am slaughtering for you.

(20)  “And you shall be satisfied at My table with horses and riders, with mighty men and with all the men of battle,” declares the Master Hashem.

YAH’SHUA IS VICTORIOUS!

Luke 18:7-8

(7)  “And shall Elohim not do right by all means to His own chosen ones who are crying out day and night to Him, and being patient over them?

(8)  “I say to you that He shall do right to them speedily. But when the Son of Aḏam comes, shall He find the belief on the earth?”

This is when the rapture of the believers are presented to the Lamb for the wedding, just prior to the destruction of Hasatan and his army.

Chapter twenty:

From chapter nineteen starting at verse eleven until chapter twenty verse fifteen are the effects or the causes of the second coming of Yah’shua.

Revelation 20:1-3

(1)  And I saw a messenger coming down from the heaven, having the key to the pit of the deep and a great chain in his hand.

(2)  And he seized the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

(3)  and he threw him into the pit of the deep, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should lead the nations no more astray until the thousand years were ended. And after that he has to be released for a little while.

Here is an important explanation in verses two and three. The devil, or Hasatan is cast down in the bottomless pit for one thousand years, not to deceive the NATIONS until the thousand years is over. Some don’t believe that there will be a thousand year reign and that there are no people on earth. Her it clearly tells of the thousand year reign of Yah’shua and that there will be people on earth at this time.

Revelation 20:4

(4)  And I saw thrones – and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them – and the lives of those who had been beheaded because of the witness they bore to יהוהשע and because of the Word of Elohim, and who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not receive his mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands. And they lived and reigned with Moshiach for a thousand years

The believers that were killed during the reign of the devil and the world power, lived again and reigned with Yah’shua for a thousand years!

Revelation 20:5

(5)  (and the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended) – this is the first resurrection.

The non-believers have to wait for the end of the thousand years to be judged by Hashem.

Revelation 20:6-15

(6)  Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of Elohim and of Moshiach, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

(7)  And when the thousand years have ended, Satan shall be released from his prison,

(8)  and he shall go out to lead the nations astray which are in the four corners of the earth, Goḡ and Maḡoḡ, to gather them together for battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. (That will be a lot more than 200,000,000)

(9)  And they came up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the set-apart ones and the beloved city. And fire came down from Elohim out of the heaven and consumed them.

(10)  And the devil, who led them astray, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet are. And they shall be tortured day and night forever and ever.

(11)  And I saw a great white throne and Him who was sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

(12)  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to their works.

(13)  And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

(14)  And the death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.1 Footnote: 1See 2:11, 20:6, 21:8.

(15)  And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

The dead great and small means, kings, rich, poor, presidents, pastors, priests, popes, heretics, government officials, all of those who did not follow Yah’shua and become born again believers, those whose names are not written in the book of life.

The grave gives up its dead so they may be judged, according to their deeds. As some have said of this event, the great playback! Everything they have done, or not done, every thought of hate and refusing Hashem’s love will be played back for them to see and to answer for. Nothing will be held back!

Hashem gives the remaining people left on earth another one thousand years to come to their senses and accept Yah’shua as their Savior. Reigning with Yah’shua isn’t the same as living on the earth for a thousand years under Moshiach’s rule. The non-believers that are still alive after the devil and the world power is defeated are ruled over by the Master during this time.

Then Hasatan is let lose to deceive the nations once again and Hasatan brings together an army of tremendous size and force, the non-believers army, and they are wiped from the face of the earth forever. They are judged and placed into that place called the PIT, the fiery furnace FOREVER!

The final judgment the subjects are dead, as the redeemed were raised from the dead one thousand years before and having glory with Yah’shua during that period. The dead that are resurrected after the thousand year reign are the wicked dead.

John 12:31

(31)  “Now is the judgment of this world, now the ruler of this world1 shall be cast out. Footnote: 1See Luke. 4:6.

Isaiah 65:19-25

(19)  “And I shall rejoice in Yerushalayim, and shall joy in My people, and let the voice of weeping no more be heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

(20)  “No more is an infant from there going to live but a few days, nor an old man who does not complete his days, for the youth dies one hundred years old, but the sinner being one hundred years old shall be lightly esteemed.

(21)  “And they shall build houses and inhabit them, and plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

(22)  “They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat. For the days of My people are going to be as the days of a tree, and My chosen ones outlive the work of their hands.

(23)  “They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble. For they are the seed of the blessed of Hashem, and their offspring with them.

(24)  “And it shall be that before they call, I answer. And while they are still speaking, I hear.

(25)  “Wolf and lamb feed together, a lion eats straw as an ox, and dust is the snake’s food. They shall do no evil, nor destroy in all My set-apart mountain,” said Hashem.

The reign of Yah’shua will be shared by all of the faithful, the born again believers and of the TaNaK faithful as recorded in Ezekiel 37:11-14.

Ezekiel 37:11-14

(11)  And He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are all the house of Yisra’ĕl. See, they say, ‘Our bones are dry, our expectancy has perished, and we ourselves have been cut off!’

(12)  “Therefore prophesy, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus said the Master Hashem, “See, O My people, I am opening your graves, and shall bring you up from your graves, and shall bring you into the land of Yisra’ĕl.

(13)  “And you shall know that I am Hashem, when I open your graves, O My people, and bring you up from your graves.

(14)  “And I shall put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall settle you in your own land. And you shall know that I יהוה have spoken, and I have done it,” declares Hashem.’ ”

At the end of the thousand years reign the kingdom will be handed over by Yah’shua to the Father, then to begin the final and everlasting kingdom of Hashem and the Lamb.

The believers self judgment: 1 Corinthians 11:31

(31)  For if we were to examine ourselves, we would not be judged.

Judgment of the believers works: 2 Corinthians 5:10

(10)  For we all have to appear before the judgment seat of Moshiach, in order for each one to receive according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.1 Footnote: 1See Mt. 16:27, John 5:29.

The judgment of the nations at the return of Yah’shua: Matthew 25:32

(32)  “And all the nations shall be gathered before Him, and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats.

The judgment of Yisra’el at the return of Yah’shua: Ezekiel 20:36-37

(36)  “As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master יהוה.

(37)  “And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the covenant,

The judgment of the messengers: Jude 1:6

(6)  And the messengers who did not keep their own principality, but left their own dwelling, He has kept in everlasting shackles under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

The judgment of the non-believers with which the present earth will end.

Chapter twenty-one starts the celebration of the set-apart ones of Hashem and will live with Hashem for the remainder of the eternity. Here Yahanan describes the new heaven and the new earth.

Revelation 21:1-8

(1)  And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more.

(2)  And I, Yahanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

(3)  And I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, “See, the Booth of Elohim is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Elohim Himself shall be with them and be their Elohim.

(4)  “And Elohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away.”

(5)  And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy.”

(6)  And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment.

(7)  “The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Elohim and he shall be My son.

(8)  “But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

This is now a new and redeemed world where Yah’shua lives with us, His people and righteousness dwells in Set-apart perfection.

Psalms 102:25-26

(25)  “You did found the earth of old, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.

(26)  “They shall perish, but You remain; And all of them grow old like a garment; You change them like a coat, And they are changed.

Romans 8:18-22

(18)  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the esteem that is to be revealed in us.

(19)  For the intense longing1 of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of Elohim. Footnote: 1Lit. anxiously looking with outstretched head.

(20)  For the creation was subjected to futility, not from choice, but because of Him who subjected it, in anticipation,

(21)  that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage to corruption into the esteemed freedom of the children of Elohim.

(22)  For we know that all the creation groans together, and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

2 Peter 3:13

(13)  But according to His promise we wait for a renewed heavens and a renewed earth in which righteousness dwells.

To erase all traces of sin there will be destruction of earth and the stars and heaven will be shaken.

Haggai 2:6

(6)  “For thus said Hashem of hosts, ‘Once more, in a little while, and I am shaking the heavens and earth, the sea and dry land.

Hebrews 12:26-29

(26)  whose voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.”

(27)  And this, “Yet once more,” makes clear the removal of what is shaken – as having been made – so that the unshaken matters might remain.

(28)  Therefore, receiving an unshakeable reign, let us hold the favour, through which we serve Elohim pleasingly with reverence and awe,

(29)  for indeed, our Elohim is a consuming fire.

The effects of death, sin, sorrow and pain and unhappiness are gone forever.

Isaiah 35:10

(10)  And the ransomed of Hashem shall return and enter Tsiyon with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Born again believers, I believe, will remember things worth remembering, but won’t remember the things that cause pain and sorrow.

Isaiah 65:17

(17)  “For look, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to heart.

Revelation 21:9-27

(9)  And one of the seven messengers who held the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and spoke with me, saying, “Come, I shall show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”

(10)  And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the set-apart Yerushalayim, descending out of the heaven from Elohim,

(11)  having the esteem of Elohim, and her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal,

(12)  and having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written on them, which are those of the twelve tribes of the children of Yisra’ĕl:1 Footnote: 1See Ezekiel. 47:22-23, Ezekiel. 48:31-34.

(13)  three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.

(14)  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve emissaries of the Lamb.

(15)  And he who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod, to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall.

(16)  And the city lies four-cornered, and its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the rod: two thousand two hundred kilometres – the length, and the breadth, and height of it are equal.

(17)  And he measured its wall: sixty-five metres, according to the measure of a man, that is, of a messenger.

(18)  And the structure of its wall was jasper. And the city was clean gold, like clear glass.

(19)  And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,

(20)  the fifth sardonyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

(21)  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls – each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was clean gold, like transparent glass.

(22)  And I saw no Dwelling Place in it, for Hashem Ěl Shaddai is its Dwelling Place, and the Lamb.

(23)  And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it, for the esteem of Elohim lightened it, and the Lamb is its lamp.

(24)  And the gentiles, of those who are saved, shall walk in its light,1 and the sovereigns of the earth bring their esteem into it. Footnote: 1See Isaiah. 60:3.

(25)  And its gates shall not be shut at all by day, for night shall not be there.

(26)  And they shall bring the esteem and the appreciation of the gentiles into it.

(27)  And there shall by no means enter into it whatever is unclean, neither anyone doing abomination and falsehood,1 but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Footnote: 1See 22:15, and 2 Thess. 2:11.

The new heaven and the new earth are introduced by Yahanan in this chapter. The new heaven will be very large and all of the demons and their followers will not be there! There will be no tears in heaven and we will be able to partake in the tree of live freely and abundantly.

The Lamb will be the light of heaven for there is no need of the sun or the moon. We shall walk in the light of Yah’shua and will bring honor and glory to Him.

The wall is for security and heaven is a safe state. Those who are there are set-apart and secured from evil and enmities. The city is very large and there is room for all of Hashem’s people. Heaven has gates and the admission is free to all that are sanctified. The believers in heaven are at rest but not asleep or idle. They have fellowship not only with Hashem, but with one another. THAT IS FOREVER!

The twelve gates are of the twelve tribes of Yisra’el and the twelve foundations are the twelve emissaries.

The new heaven is a large place approximately twelve hundred to fourteen hundred miles in length and breath.

Chapter twenty-two is somewhat of an epilogue.

Revelation 22:1-5

(1)  And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb.

(2)  In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

(3)  And no longer shall there be any curse, and the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

(4)  And they shall see His face, and His Name shall be upon their foreheads.

(5)  And night shall be no more, and they shall have no need of a lamp or the light of the sun, because Hashem Elohim shall give them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Basically an extension of chapter twenty-one.

The Epilogue by Yah’shua as told to Yahanan.

Revelation 22:6-21

(6)  And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And Hashem Elohim of the set-apart prophets has sent His messenger to show His servants what has to take place with speed.

(7)  “See, I am coming speedily! Blessed is he who guards the words of the prophecy of this book.”

(8)  And I, Yahanan, saw and heard these matters. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the messenger who showed me these matters.

(9)  And he said to me, “See, do not! For I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who are guarding the words of this book. Worship Elohim.”

(10)  And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near.

(11)  “He who does wrong, let him do more wrong; he who is filthy, let him be more filthy; he who is righteous, let him be more righteous; he who is set-apart, let him be more set-apart.

(12)  “And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work.1 Footnote: 1See Mt. 16:27, John 5:29.

(13)  “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

(14)  “Blessed are those1 doing His commands,2 so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. Footnotes: 1See Mt. 19:17. 2Long before the books were compiled to form “The New Testament,” Rev. 22:14 was quoted, as it is here given, by Tertullian (CE 208), and by Cyprian (CE 251) – see the well-known Antenicene Fathers.

(15)  “But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.1 Footnote: 1See 21:27, 2 Thess. 2:11.

(16)  “I, יהוהשע, have sent My messenger to witness to you these matters in the assemblies. I am the Root and the Offspring of Dawiḏ,1 the Bright and Morning Star.” Footnote: 1Isaiah. 11:1 & 10, Rev. 5:5.

(17)  And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And he who hears, let him say, “Come!” And he who thirsts, come! And he who desires it, take the water of life without paying!

(18)  For I witness to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, Elohim shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book,

(19)  and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the set-apart city, which are written in this Book.

(20)  He that bears witness of these matters says, “Yes, I am coming speedily.” Amĕn. Yes, come, Master יהוהשע!

(21)  The favour of our Master יהושע  Moshiach be with the set-apart ones. Amĕn.

The water of life speaks of purity and the power and the esteem of the eternal life in heavenly city.

John 7:37

(37)  And on the last day, the great day of the festival, יהוהשע stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink.

A life-giving river nourishes New Yerushalayim that gushes from the throne of Hashem. The river flowing from the throne of Hashem is everlasting life due to Hashem’s gift.

We are told not seal up this prophecy that means this must be taken and proclaimed to everyone.

Born again believers must continue in righteousness and be set-apart until Moshiach’s return.

When Yah’shua said And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work. He will be prepared immediately to execute the sentence. Remember, those that take away from His Word, their names will be taken out of the book of life!

Yahanan ends this book from verses eighteen to twenty-one warning about the terrible possibilities of having ones portion taken from the tree of life and of the Set-apart city and of those things that are written in this book.

The major events that are in this prophecy reveal the power, righteousness and the sovereignty of Yah’shua. Most don’t like to read the book of Revelation because of its graphic revelation, but should sense the fact that while these events haven’t happened as yet, nor been fulfilled, just remember what chapter twenty-two verse twenty says:

He that bears witness of these matters says, “Yes, I am coming speedily.” Amĕn. Yes, come, Yah’shua ucwhy! Jeremiah 23:6, “In His days Yehuḏah shall be saved, and Yisra’ĕl dwell safely. And this is His Name whereby He shall be called: ‘HASHEM our Righteousness.’

That is our Savior, YAH’SHUA!!!
